How does u19 even come close to senior team accomplishment?
If i had to take a dig at it, it would be CT. Senior IND team > PAK team at this time any given day. That PAK team barely made it to CT and then went on to win the cup by beating a juggernut team.

This U19 team is very avg. BD u19 team was better pretty much in all aspect.

u19 teams shud be kept away from word humilation. For a lot of them they are playing such big occasion for first time and nerves can better of anyone.

Seniors go through that many times even in IPL so they have experience. Whatever lil i saw of Bangladesh they looked to have good skill set and i didnt feel that im watching an U-19 team so credit to them....they held their nerves better.

CT the skill level of India n Pak were of huge diff

Lol seriously! Today didn't even feel like anything ,but the CT finals was a nightmare ,an absolute disaster, the Pakistani jahils were foul mouthing like anything ,from fans to the cricketers and our boys busy laughing and giggling!

U-19 shouldn't be taken so seriously, more about finding 1-2 outstanding talents who can do great things a few years down the line. 2006 U-19 team gave us Rohit, Pujara and Jadeja...so we were the winners even though we couldn't chase 106 in the final. Plus this was a close loss, boys fought hard....no abject surrender.

CT 2017 F a different matter...stupid toss decision, team selection, dressing room politics and margin of defeat . Worse than the 2008 RG F beatdown (my worst sports memory before that) and moreover we were a far better team, smashed them in the group stage.

I am skeptical of this U-19 squad. (i) garg has regressed, (ii) the pacers have speed and some good skills, but their temperament and consistency is not on par with mavi/nagarkoti, (iii) bishnoi looks good, but rahul chahar looked even better. of this whole squad, I believe that jaiswal and bishnoi can make it to Ind A, and perhaps karthik tyagi. but I am not sold on the rest, and even among the trio I mentioned, it remains to be seen if any are "outstanding talents" who will do "great things" in the senior squads.

Same, didn't find anything special in this bunch except Jaiswal. Even Bishnoi won't do much without a leg break. Previous bunch was so good, trust this useless TM to fail to groom them.

yes, bishnoi is basically a googly bowler. rahul chahar looked much better at the same age - I recall him playing against SL U19 (who were not as bad then and could play spin okay) and he was bowling these massive leggies that left them utterly confused and groping in the dark.

look there is a close ended poll too..hehe

give an option neither. then see where the votes fall.

humiliating is if a dad calls a son nalaik when he introduces his girlfried :giggle:, its not applicable in sport fandom. first up you need to invest something more than chit chat in something to influence an outcome and by possible extension be humiliated by the outcome

did you watch the game? Bangladesh team put up a high quality effort in the field to restrict India to a losing total.  There is no "humiliation" here.  The team that played better won the game.

That could be said of both games.

Our bowling was quite good this time,

Mavi, Nagarkoti are exceptions, but this attack was more potent, they needed 210-220 today to lift it for record 5th time, yes, batting was quite weak when compared with previous batch,i find this attack had more variation than the previous one,2018 batch had the fear factor ie they had some tremendous individuals Shaw,Mavi, Nagarkoti,Gill etc

it's not just mavi & nagarkoti. rahul chahar and sundar were also from the same group, and I rate them better than bishnoi and ankolekar respectively. there's no denying the fact that the U19 players from 2016-2018 were exceptionally talented.
