Seems Gambhir doesn't like his statemate Pant for some reason. Samson always has these one off great innings in IPL but fizzles out in A tours and other chances. If tomorrow Pant plays a match winning knock,what will he say. The fact that he made it a point to say " best wkt keeper batsmen" means he has some problem with Pant ...or else he could have just profusely praised Samson's batting knock. Good point but Gambhir has asked for selectors in the past to have a proper word with Pant and handle his selection better meanwhile also asking for Pant to become mentally stronger.He simply wants the best batsman to play for India I feel and Pant even though he is my personal favorite, he has been a bit in consistent and so has been Kl Rahul. Very similar to rohit In t20 top 3 taken In odi its taken , even if they want to look beyond dhawan - shaw , gill have already earned their chances. Even devdutt has had a great domestic season , soon will be the case with yashaswi . Then there is ruturaj another guy who has done really well for india a n domestic . You can expect such gambles from a ganguly or dhoni but not with kohli. Samson has to do something outstanding, this is every IPL story some damn good knocks n then decline.
