Vicky Kaushal in Chaava (based on Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj) was much better fit than Ritiesh Deshmukh in Raja Shivaji (based on Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj) for the lead role. Ritiesh has done well in comedy movies in his career, he fits well in that genre. Salman Khan has a special appearance. Mariyam 1

I got bored in first half at one point of time. Felt slow at times. Wifey liked movie a lot. Maybe she found it relatable as her family used to be regular to Vrindavan, Mathura. However, I have never seen picturisation of this aspect before and didn't know story earlier, so found lot of new things. Maybe they will do better job next time. Mariyam 1

The issue is that in naarth india being dark is considered as a slur and they cannot see gods in that colour.
