DACA kids came to us illegally while people on H1b have been for long time and waiting for green cards. If they give DACA kids citizenship then what’s the point. Just to get votes you want to give citizenship to DACA. H1b kids age out of they don’t get green card in time. The Illinois Democrat senator blocked the bill that would have offered them protections. Hispanics did not vote for Biden this time they voted trump hopefully they are smart enough to understand that. You see the disparity. But for civli rights movement Indians could not have come this freely as the immigration was race based. Talk to many Indians who lived here long enough. They also had to go through racism. If Trump labels somebody as a bad element most likely they are doing something right. again you completely avoided the looting just like the democratic mayors and started the usual talking points to justify the anarchy. What sucks for us Indians is that our population is just too much compared to others and we all know, you and me, that US government does also have to ensure that not dame country’s folks get all the Green Cards in their quota for the year - US government just don’t want only Indians getting all GC’s However, what really sucks is that an Indian lives legally and waits 17 years to get GC when someone from Bangladesh lands on DV lottery in US and starts working in Indo/Pak restaurant and has his GreenCard mailed to him in the first month and then in the next 5 years has citizenship while an Indian who has studied and done masters is no where close to getting Greencard, forget the citizemship and is looking to study because he is stressed that his work permit might not be remewed. Surely there is a better and more efficient way to handle this mass traffic of GC request from India to US. Like I said, we are in this silly issue of our own population also being too much. They have hard time understanding how much to give it to Indians and how much to give it to someone from Germany or Ghana etc and then this issue, an average Indian suffers and has to wait 17 years. Ideal plan - Remove ROW category. Clear the pending applications and give all the peoole waiting for 10+ years their GC. Once that is done then just put quota on all countries - yes including India(even though we are more we deserve more doesn’t work since we end up screwing fellow Indians and it will go back to same long wait if we don’t put quota).
