Hardik Pandya has batted well. In the two innings he has shown he can guide the team to a reasonable score by being the highest run scorer if the two innings at run a ball.

It is good that he has scored 90 in two innings which are his two highest ODI scores. He isn't Rohit Sharma or Kohli or Dhawan who used to score hundreds and big ones but he definetely is one who can scire 90 on his good days at slightly better than run a ball.giid enough to bat at 6 and if he scores couple of 90's when the top order fails, he can be promoted at 5 while we search for his replacement at 6 gradually

100 is just 10 more then 90, for which players waste 20-20 balls......the 100 syndrome needs to be gotten over with

impact is more important then individuals numbers.

Hardik twice had a chance but went for whats better for team and not breaking the momentum

By 100 I meant the big hundreds which proper batsmen are expected to score.

Why is scoring more runs bad or a syndrome? What logic that a player having ability of scoring 90 should not look to get past 100 that is improve further.

U can score big 100 if u have time n partner

At position which he bats max he ll get 15-20 overs that also if he bats at 6. At 7 Reduce more, even at 5 he ll get 20-25, difficult to get daddy 100....

That's what I said. Promote him gradually to number 5. Give him more opportunity to face more balls so that he scores more.

We all know that the issue won't be resolved if we pick either of the two as specialist batsmen at no.6.

But, just a thought, why not Sanju Samson at 6? His striking ability is far better than Pandey and is a better batsmen than Pandya.

Samson is a top 3/4 type bat - not really suited for #6.  I am a fan of his batting, and keep hoping to see him take that next step.  But he hasn't done it yet.

Mohit Kumar: Interesting fact : Hardik (220 runs) has more runs than Smith (216 runs) in this series.

50% credit to SSS (Sir Sobers Shardooool) and SDP knows it

SDP has 210 runs .... do not know how many Smith has (216?)

Wonderful series for Pandya with bat. Good to see him displaying temparament of a batsman along with power hitting prowess. Massive advantage for India, when he starts giving 4-5 overs as well.

Only issue remaining is countering that wide angle used by fast bowlers against him. Today he again restricted in the last 3-4 overs by that line.
