One scenario is different. Rahane has shown us what he can do with India B team. With each series loss pressure will mount on this man.

Kohli of the last few years comes across as a very weak willed individual, who is extremely insecure ( though he may not have any valid reasons) and can be influenced very easily.

Knee jerk reactions is all that I expect from Kohli the captain. No improvisation. Never preemptively taking decisions.

 

He just doesn't have it in him to be a captain. It doesn't matter even if he is Bradman, Richards and Tendulkar rolled into one as a batsman, he should be relieved of his captaincy.

 

The next WC is in India in 2023. Hopefully BCCI can sort the captaincy issue by then and give the new captain at least a year or a year and a half of tinkering with the team.
