Another T20 series wasted on Dhawan - Repeating same mistake expecting a different result is Insanity

Every year its the same cycle 

 

• Dhawan a flop in International t20 and specially at t20 Wcs
• IPL 2019- scores runs
• Gets his position back fails again 
• IPL 2020 - scores a mountain 
• Gets his place back same old result avg under 30 , s/r under 130 
• Again wasted power play

 

Next yr it will be repeated again n again n again , so what did we learn nothing new . Ppl are counting samson out on 3-4 games and this guy has been given 64 games when he isnt an ideal t20 player.....this is what i say rather give right players 40 chances then wrong players 5 well here its vice versa 

 

Imagine we cud atleast have tried 3-4 new guys in last 42 games wasted on him and atleast it wud be a decent chance to someone

Why stop at Dhawan, ideally even Kohli and Rohit should review their future plans in this format. We have so many youngsters waiting in the wings, Ishan Kishan, Sky, Krunal Pandya, Akshar Patel, Samad, Rituraj, Padikkal to name a few, who can walk in our T20 intl side tomorrow.

Australia is Dhawan’s “Sasural”... These trips gives opportunity to him to visit his In-Laws... Hence he will be an integral part of the touring team for many years to come...

Dhawan, Rohit and Kohli shouldn't be playing T20. I would expect team without these 3 having better chance to win WC. 2007 WC is great example, fearless team without baggage.

His problem is that he plays at a good str rate only when he goes big and sadly he doesn't go big too often(in t20s) .. 

Innings like 28(23) are very harmful for the team considering the fact that he bats in the powerplay.

His batting is very predictable. Once the powerplay is over, all he does is try and slog spinners towards midwicket. Just imagine someone like Ishan Kishan in those overs. Will be nightmarish for oppositions.

Our t20 side resembles an old age home. Captaan saab looked cool with his beard until some grey started appearing. Its not Dhawan's fault that he gets picked despite failures. However he has some audacity to thigh slap after taking a catch of someone who has hit a quickfire 50 the same one whose catch he dropped when he was in single digits and smiled at the bowler. Dhawan should thank Bumrah for being a nice guy. Even Thakur would have hurled abuses at him like he did when Chahar dropped a catch yesterday.

IPL his SR was one of the better ones.

 

You cannot hold old records against someone. Moving average is far better. His last two T20's have been excellent.

Mayank showed the correct intent in IPL, unselfish batting from him which he continued in ODIs. Not one chance, gawd I hate this TM so much.
