BacktoCricaddict Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Pure speculation on my part: It was Rahane's idea to gift that to Lyon. He just seems like a thoughtful guy. Two other examples: When Siraj took a fifer, Rahane asked the umpire if he could hand the ball to Siraj to keep. When the team made the victory lap, he made sure he called out Rishabh Pant multiple times to come to the front and be the first to hold the flag.

I would have thought it was a TM management idea. Odd to single out Lyon for this honour

It is much more preferable to: hit you for 150 runs. give you no wickets. grind your team to the dust. deny you #400. hand you a jersey. express bowling and nevada 2
Lone Wolf Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Playing Rohit & Nadeem is a gift.. Valentine Day is also coming.. Expect more pyaar mohabbat exchanged Stan AF 1
ShoonyaSifar Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Would have been seen copying Rahane, his enemy no. 1 right after the Aus series win. His PR would not let go of this opportunity. Will wait for a couple of days to see what they come up with.
Suhaan Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 He will write a love note on a pink page Just wait express bowling 1
Yoda-esque Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Root is a pretty boy,Kohli can give him a pedicure
The Realist Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Gave root a foot massage & sucked his toe in front of the cameras after his bowlers were getting mauled. What a gesture.

That's a needy tweet, if ever there was one. "Mummy, mummy, you like Garry better because you gave him a t-shirt!!" I can understand fans asking/bantering about this, but it sounds ridiculous coming from someone like him. Edited February 9, 2021 by BacktoCricaddict velu 1
kirkutfan Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 The gift to Lyon was at the end of a series. This is still the middle of a contest. Also, that t shirt could have been a Rahane decision. Don’t remember if Kohli ever made these types of gestures.
