I thought that was a weird celebration. When the commentator said something like "head and shoulders celebration", I realized that player was doing kind of product placement. Explains why it felt awkward and forced. At least, on the field, the players should he spared from these shenanigans. So much for PSL being all about cricket. GautiMaan Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 At his peak he wanted to earn as much as the top batsmen, playing in the IPL ,now its all about the joy of the game eh? Quote I don't know. I am a fan of fast bowling. It will change because the game is changing. It is important - this is my personal opinion - that you need to continue putting batsmen and fast bowlers at par. If the IPL is all about guys getting $2 million for hitting the ball out of the ground then who wants to bowl fast? You need a fast bowler that is earning that in the IPL Quote It is too difficult to run in 30 metres and bowl all day in Chennai in 45-degree heat and not get any rewards. Why don't I just pick up the bat and learn how to reverse sweep and scoop and hit the guy out of the ground? That is so much easier and I get paid a lot more. And I get people to love me and everything https://www.thecricketmonthly.com/story/974679/dale-steyn-opens-up-on-fast-bowling-and-everything-else

AuxiliA Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 2 minutes ago, R!TTER said: what does it really say about the "professional" franchise operators or whoever the * leads them in the auction Everything thing happens quickly in auctions, there's literally no time to think. Franchises routinely get into bidding wars for certain players, who they believe can enhance their team. That drives the prices up for 'undeserving' players sometimes.
Majestic Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Most of Indian fans are insecure and get triggered off easily. The guy was in Pakistan and amidst PSL, if Pakistani journalists ask him questions on IPL vs PSL, what is he suppose to say? At the end of the day, he would also want to earn as many as possible in these final years of his cricketing career with the bowl, let him do that by earning some moolahs in PSL and fooling around their fans a bit. MechEng Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 If Kohli meets Steyn anytime in the future, he will be like "Bahar mil tu mere ko"
putrevus Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 (edited) He is allowed to express his opinion. Why is this even an issue, if he feels PSL is better for him so be it. Edited March 3, 2021 by putrevus GoldenSun, Banton and RAZPOR 3
ShoonyaSifar Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 IPL did hasten Steyn's rapid decline in Test cricket, else he looked set for 550-600 test wickets. Lost his form and fitness gradually after the 2015 WC. Without IPL , could easily have prolonged his career for of couple of years. Maybe he still has that regret. But then it was his own choice, no once forced him to put his name up for the auctions. sage and cowboysfan 2
Vijy Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 it's clear why he likes PSL so much... all that covid floating about must have addled his brain.
