Covid and Crowd at Ahmedabad

Surprised at the number of fans that had showed up for the game (mostly without masks)

 

I thought BCCI had allowed only 20% (not sure of the exact number) crowd but that number is useless if they are sitting next to each other

 

I understand fans want to be there, have a change with current situation but they also need at what cost.

On a serious notre though ,cases are already on the up and i rarely see people wearing masks anymore .

I was surprised as well. In tests they had a reduced audience. Within a space of a week it’s back to normal. I don’t understand this. Looks like india has eradicated COVID-19

Did they have a "reduced audience" or did people just not care for Tests?

I guess showing off packed Modi Stadium to the world was more important than pandemic.

No they wouldn't even if made compulsory. 

They would wear it on their chin and pull it up as and when "needed".

Government have started enforcing restrictions here in Ahmedabad by closing Hotels and Food courts late at night while allowing Cricket matches to be played, Yesterday, it wasnt even 50% capacity, It was full house.

Thankfully good sense has prevailed. Was extremely dangerous to have so many people when Corona is on a rise in last few days in Gujarat.

 

Irony is Ahmedabad still has night curfew from 12- 6 while we have had 70000 people in the stands at Motera.

Naa,they are not allowed to sell more than 50%. Oofficially Sunday crowd was lesser than the crowd on Friday.
