India got 6 medals at 2012...

Lets see if it can be crossed or matched

A lot depends on shooting and wrestling. Not the best start in shooting.

2012 we had 2 medals in shooting ( Vijay Kumar and Gagan Narang) and wrestling (Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar), Sania Nehwal and Mary Kom.

India is  probably the only country which neglects mental conditioning/coaching aspect, in most of the sports we play. Huge price to pay, but we'll never learn.......probably a taboo subject in our society, anything to do with mental health and well-being. Even world's richest cricket board doesn't take psychological aspect seriously.

Technique, skills, fitness, strength etc. can help you get to a stage where you are competing with the elite on a regular basis, but to be a champion you need more. Especially in sports like shooting and archery, clutchness is as important as technique. Sports like weightlifting, wrestling, long distance running, swimming are easier to predict, usually the ranking system is an accurate indicator of how things will unfold on D-Day.
