South Africa hasn't won anything under any coach. Under him, they became#1 ODI team aa well. 9 unbeaten consecutive test series as well.

His biggest claim to fame is not south africa but winning the CT 2017 which I would say India lost due to weird tactics( chasing), bottling ( no balls) and harakiri ( first few wickets and Pandyad s run out by jadeja)..

Why is BCCI so powerless in front of Kohli?

Only if India do badly in next  T20WC, things will start moving atleast in short format . In tests no change will happen.

Why are you trying this to patriotism bro. Neeraj won gold with a German coach. There is nothing wrong with getting best possible coach regardless of his country of origin

Moreover, Vikram Rathore is a UK citizen! And there is no way in hell he is the best available coach. He will be an even bigger yes man than Shastri.

it won't change regardless of how many KOs we lose.

Anybody tenable pliable would do for the overpaid boys! The way Sridhar was propping up VR for KL and tailender’s success in Lord’s , we can start hearing folklore about how great Vikram is. Dekh lena

I can only hope there is no nepotism in this being a punjabi connection... I am sure Kohli will never recommend Bharat Arun as the head coach

thats the whole point.. combo of local + subservient guy

if credit of KLs success goes to Rathore then who should get the brickbats for failure of CP/VK/AR

If Vikram has guts , he should say  publicly that the tweaking in KL's technique is due to him and KL also admits . Then i am OK if  he continues as batting coach !

Rathod is a bigger puppet ,a yes man than Bewda .At least bewda has better cricket acumen than this nobody .

His name must have been put forward by Rat .

rathod will become rat's lackey.

this is a horrible choice. he will be sucking Chokohlis 24/7. Problem is no self-respecting coach will be ready to coach Team India as long as the asshole is there. Would you like to be MC BC-d regularly? You think Dravid would opt for it even if he is paid multimillions?

The cancer has to grow, self destruct and perish and then India will rise from the Phoenix.

With the kind technical supremacy shown by our MO , Vikram should be made life time batting coach of India .

Would be difficult to unearth such once in a generation gem .

under Rathod, the batting has reached new heights. I am not joking when I say that our batting in 70s (e.g., Gavaskar, Vishy, Sardesai) and 80s (e.g., Amarnath, Vengsarkar, Azhar) and even early 90s (e.g., Sidhu, SRT, Azhar) was probably better than now.
