Forever Indian Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 (edited) I think this deserves a Thread discussion on it's own. Just think about it, he started Test Captaincy in 2015, it's been 7 years now. The Test XI he has, not One new player has been developed by him - 10 were developed by Dhoni and the 1 player Siraj was played by Rahane in Aus, else he would still be waiting for his chance. I mean, is Indian domestics so bad that not one player can be developed by Lolli?! Edited August 26, 2021 by Forever Indian
speedheat Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 (edited) He prefers seniors. Seniors are more appealing to him because he has zero patience for youngsters. He lacks man management skills and eye for talent. For developing Siraj, I'd give him a pass, but other than that, it's a big fat 0 Edited August 26, 2021 by speedheat
ShoonyaSifar Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 It has all been about consolidating power (and money) by all means. Everything else was secondary. Ideal time to sack him and Shastri was after the 2019 WC. No other captain-coach would have survived the shambolic decisions. Each day's delay in sacking him sets our cricket further back. raki05, nevada, Cricspin and 1 other 4

Sirajs best performance was under rahane in Australia I watched a lot improved performance of Siraj in this year's IPL under Kohli..... was almost unplayable, as Siraj himself has acknowledged Kohli for making his career. Under Kohli, he appears to be more confident, as evidenced by his performance in the previous match. Edited August 26, 2021 by speedheat
QuarantineTormentino Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Unfortunately Kohli has absolutely zero foresight and hence cannot develop youngsters like Dhoni, Ganguly, etc. did Lord and raki05 2

He has to credit Kohli publicly or else it will be career suicide. vijaydude 1
