Not sure about Ashwin, liability on the field, cant hit bog/slog

Ashwin will be used sparingly, against sides like Eng/WI which are LHB heavy. Can always be hidden in the field, and if we are depending on #8 or #9 batting to win the Cup, better not even go there.

Bhai, don't underestimate Axar Patel. Better package than Jaddu, Krunal in this format, in these conditions.

I don't underestimate his bowling, but Krunal's batting is better.

I feel that selectors have gone for specialists, which is a consistent pattern with Indian selections even for T20.  But in T20, more often than not, its a batting shootout, and having a guy at #7 who can put up a 30 ball 50, or can come in and give you that cameo of 25 from 12, has value.

Axar can slog it a bit, on his day, but not reliably.

Yards the better bowler, no doubt, but I'd even go as far as saying that in t20 cricket, I rate Krunal the batsman bit better than even Jadeja.  This is not to say I am a Krunal fan - he's a quintessential bits and pieces player, just about barely adequate with either skillset, but in T20 such players often end up making crucial contributions over the course of a WC.

Selectors have done an excellent job, putting together a solid squad, kudos to them.
IGood to see D Chahar isn't in the main squad, if Bhuvi is fit then his services are not required.
We will miss Lord's batting, but his bowling in the UAE is unreliable. We needed one experienced spinner, and Ashwin is the perfect fit.
The best was to exclude the RCB quota chahal. Shami's inclusion in the main team is also a welcome sight.

Wowowowowowowo, never expected such selection. :hatsoff:to Chetan Sharma and his group.

This is our strongest ever T20I squad, nothing less than the trophy this time. We are leagues above all other teams in terms of personnel for those pitches.

Eng should be without Stokes, Archer.....ignoring Root for Malan will backfire.

WI won't do well with these large boundaries and non-pattas.
