Its not only ipl. Just think rationally. All these players have families travelling with them. They have kids.. they have been here for more than 2 months.. last ind eng series was Of 4 tests.. it was always an accident to happen.. in uk its back to normal and no restrictions but covid cases still rising.. so india team was not immune from it..

Surely , it seems the players and board would rather have the break till 19 to conduct further tests and quarantine so that the IPL can start on time with all the players available.

 

Imagine if this Test was played and some more positive tests erupted , then all the players would be required to go into quarantine and the players will not be able to reach UAE on time to start the tournament.

 

By surrendering the Final Test, BCCI has saved it's Cash Cow and Brand IPL.

England's fifth Test against India at Old Trafford has been cancelled after a number of the tourists' backroom staff tested positive for Covid-19.

India were unable to field a team because they fear further cases spreading through their squad.

 

India have forfeited the match, meaning the series is drawn 2-2.
