Told you so. If you want to be negative, test can’t make you positive. In 10 day quarantine experience, there was day 3 and day 8 tests. A lot of people just closed the sample botle after licking cotton swab on day 8. No one is chewt enough to come positive on day 8 to extend his quarantine for 10 more days

Thats the test I am saying. Its done by you giving ur own sample in a tube . Not like the way u do it in India where a trained professional takes sample

Sabhi kuch locha hai.  They have quarantined all our support staff one by one.

More pertinent question is this. How was there an outbreak in a bio-secure bubble? I want ICF medical experts to tell me this.

I might be wrong but i guess the theory was it came from Chakravarty going to a hospital over there.

There is no UK law , England and Wales Law, Scottish Law and N Ireland Law 

I was in England two weeks ago and it's frightening the English attitude. I was staying in a hotel a few hundred yards  from Trent Bridge and was going to go to see a Blast T20 whilst there but did not bother when I saw what was happening in England .

Fresh RT-PCR reports of the Indian team to come in the next hour or two. The "fresh" tests were done in the evening..

Yeah. But at least if the match has already begun and then gets called off, it will be considered a draw, giving us the series.

The Manchester Test is back on. Its fate was in balance after India's assistant physio Yogesh Parmar tested Covid-19 positive on Wednesday evening. But the BCCI, after discussions with the Indian team management and the ECB as well, has now made it clear that the final Test of the Pataudi series will go ahead as scheduled. This was the most likely outcome as soon as the entire Indian squad were found to be negative for the virus, although they did have to deal with a day's worth of uncertainty.

 

Sky sports news also confirmed test will start tomorrow.

The series-deciding fifth Test between India and England, scheduled to start in Manchester on Friday, is in doubt with a member of India’s support staff having tested COVID-19 positive hours before the start of the match.

The Hindu understands that soon after India finished its Wednesday morning’s training at Old Trafford, physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar’s test returned positive during the evening’s testing.

As a result, India’s training session for Thursday has been cancelled and all the members of the contingent have been asked to be confined to their rooms until further notice.

After Parmar returned a positive lateral flow test on Wednesday evening, all members of the Indian squad were made to undergo RT-PCR tests on Thursday morning.

With Parmar having helped multiple India players’ recovery sessions till Wednesday, India’s contingent is hoping the others haven’t been infected with the coronavirus.

 

The England and Wales Cricket Board is understood to have been working in close association with local health authorities and figuring out a future course of action. An official statement is expected later on Thursday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is understood to have been keen on the abandonment of the Test. The aim was to ensure all the players would be available in time for the Indian Premier League’s (IPL’s) rescheduled second half, starting in United Arab Emirates from September 19. The fact that India leads the series 2-1 also puts the Indian contingent in a win-win scenario.

Parmar’s positive test takes the number of COVID-19 cases in India’s contingent to four, with head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach B. Arun and fielding coach R. Sridhar having been diagnosed COVID-19 positive during the fourth Test in London last week.

Nitin Patel, the senior physiotherapist, has been isolated in London since he was traced as a close contact of the three coaches.

It means that India’s squad will not have a physiotherapist at its disposal should the Test go ahead after all the players returning negative tests.

With the WTC table now based on the percentage of points available, a four-Test series instead of five would not have impacted any side's final tally. In case the final Test had not been played, India would pocket 26 WTC points while England

Hmm disagree, stats does not correlate with the above statement. Scotland currently has the 14 highest Covid rates in UK, source attached below.
