He went missing prior to 2019 world cup. Now this.  Grade A contract player miss 50% of the games. Even in the games he plays he contributes only 50%.

He's there as the official mascot f***boi of the team, almost always f***s us when we need him the most!

KKR are playing Varun despite his knee injury. He will play the IPL final too and then will be out of the WC due to the injury.

Any other board would have recalled their WC player if he had a risk of injury in the IPL. But BCCI won't. KKR will run him to the ground.

No he will play wc. He ll rest for 9 days. Wont play the warm Up games. 9 days is lot of time to recover ..

Its a matter of 5 runs. If Hardik bowls well he ll anyways give 9 runs. If virat bowls he ll give 14. Now question is will it not be logical to bowl your fifth bowler anyways even if he gets tonked as he cant do worse than above two. So why worry about 6th bowling option anyways

sometime batsman are comfortable bashing spin and not pace even dibbly dobbly.

Also first over batsman are less likely to hit so 6th bowler can get away as opposed to 5th bowler to which batsmen are used to

Yes agree but in subcontinent pitches if you throw darts like jadeja does its not that easy unless u are in crease for some time. But yes its the surprise factor and embarrassment factor of getting out to kohli which can play a part. But again on flip side kohli wont bowl unless jadeja is tonke by logic. And if jadeja is getting tonked by maxwell or livingstone no guarantees kohli would be spared even from bowl one..

If Jadeja is having a bad day, what is to say Virat or Rohit or anyone else won't go for more.

Jadeja will overall be not the worst economical bowler if he bowls every match. We are acting as if Shami, Bhuvi, Thakur etc are much better and won't get hit.

Bumrah is clear top and then anyone can have a bad day.  This focus on Jadeja bowling ability is silly. Jadeja economy in T20I is 7.1 and he was similar in this IPL too. I rate Jadeja as the 3rd bowler not 5th. I don't care he darts, can't spin whatever.. the results can't be argued with.

Shami economy is 9.8, Thakur 9.1 and new bowlers like Chahar and Varun are a lottery.

Jadeja has to play and his place is the most often discussed as if he is the primary issue with the team or balance.

Jadeja is still preferred for his batting. Reason he has decent record is because he is not a power play bowler or death bowler like say Sundar or Ashwin or Varun.

Agree Jadeja is there for all round abilities and not for bowling alone but I am just saying he is not the weakest link in bowling.

We see where Sundar and Varun are in 3-4 years time.

Ashwin is a great bowler in general but not as Great in T20. They all can be smashed.

Controlling the game in middle overs is a role as well and Jadeja does that reasonably well  we mostly bowl fast bowler up front in PP and at death.

Jadeja is definitely not the weakest link. Only reason they were talking about other spin options because of the nature of the surfaces we play on. Jadeja is probably no at his very best bowling form to exploit the sluggish pitches.  He can be targeted. So he may need a genuine back up spinner. Chakri will be the choice.

He hasn't been the same since his Spinal cord Injury.

Will probably never reach his 2017 peak. Based on form Kishan/Surya should be in....but we know our leader has a certain core that he favors and is biased irrespective of the form they display just because of "past" laurels.
