The very fact that Pandya does not bat among the top 4 suggests that the team management and the captain don't trust his batting ability at all.   It's always hit or miss. On top of that, he can't bowl more than 2 overs to save his life.   Who cares what he achieved in a meaningless bilateral T20 series against Aus last year, whose bowling line up had club level bowlers like sams etc.

Even if you see that ct final he started hoicking when all hope were lost. There is no way india could have won this match and look at the bolwer he hit sixes. Shadab khan and Fakhar zaman. 3 sixes on fakhar zaman. Same in aus he scored agains sams and few other no name bowler in that dettol series lol. Jadega played much better than him and he literally blasted cummins, hazzlewood and starc. Other than that one test match victory in eng, pandua contribution is zero. His most high sr inning came against minows or minow bowling attack of good teams. Robin Singh has much notable inning in icc than this feku.

Exactly.     Those who understand cricket would never support this injury prone Overrated fraudster.   Except one or two posters here, I don't think pandu has many fans.

Did I watch a different tournament or something? :hmmmm2:

17 runs of Afridi's 19th over (came in on the last ball of the 18th over so no time to settle down)

23 v NZ to steer the ship. NAM was in similar situation v Ind where Weiss played a similar inning

35 off 13 v AFG

Did his job per the situation and opportunity :dontknow:

Imagine a Buttler in an Indian set up having to come in at 6 or 7, having to play a magical knock without even getting his eye in, trying to hit even good balls for boundaries.

In Ind, people expect a high strike rate batsman to do be as consistent as tuk tuk ones who take their time and pick and chose balls to hit.

Our tuk tuk top 4 is the biggest reason our middle order struggles to get going. On flat pitches, they consume too many balls with not high enough SR.

Bigger reason is the top order's success in T20I bilaterals meaning limited opportunities for the middle order. Lack of willingness to give the middle order bats a go at the top of the order has been our biggest bane.
