zen Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 to OZ persistence ... what a comeback by its bowlers after the 1st test!!
sandeep Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 moment of silence for over-smart greenbro 'strategerists who wasted 1 test trying to "tire out" Australian bowlers. And nothing to be said about moron greenbros who think winning in "Asia" against top ANUS teams is as easy today as it was 30 years ago. If Aus wins toss next test match its going to be a whitewash. Even if they don't it still might be. Lone Wolf and TheWall 2

Lone Wolf Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) Point is Australia never arrived full strength in UAE & Pak won 4 out of 4 tosses against them in UAE & won 3 games.. Had Australia won even 1 toss in UAE they would have beaten Pakistan despite not being full strength. Those dead tracks used to completely negate Starc & Cummins didn't even played there. Now post 2015 they are inferior even in that aspect lmao. it all changed post 2005 itself in truth but now its much more evident. bumrah is already better than wasim in tests given his performances in sea. hell shami is better than shoaib and waqar. stats dont reveal the ability of the bowler. shami is far more complete than either one of those 2. it will only get worse for the Pakistani. soon there will be prasidh, siraj, avesh, tyagi etc. rofl. Majestic Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) Haha kangaroos just owned them in their own backyard. 148 all out at home lol , for years they cried about not playing at home and this is what they show up when they finally got to play at home. A well deserved inning defeat coming on its way! Edited March 14, 2022 by Majestic Cricspin 1

This was a genuine evolution in the game, not dissimilar to Greatbatch and Sanath Jayasuriya's revolutionary tactics in ODI powerplay batting. Of course there was an element of "working on the ball" that was in the gray area if not outright illegal -but to be fair such subjective rules were bound to be abused by any team that found itself in the position to weaponize reverse swing the way Pak did. Post 90s, reverse slowly became better known, better understood and less exotic. Top tier Batsmen started to adapt and understand how to counter it at least to survive. And with the increase in professionalism and modern fitness, more and more teams started improving across the board. This required greenbros to 'keep up with the joneses' in terms of coaching, professionalism, skills practice, fitness - all that jazz. Which they were consistently horrifically poor at. For all its flaws, the PSL has helped greenbro cricket massively in terms of helping them catch up to the modern day preparation driven methodologies of cricket. But that's just t20. Their FC cricket and test cricket is in the dumps, for obvious reasons. FC cricket takes deep pockets to sustain and conduct a high quality competition year on year. Unless you do that, your test team is always going to struggle. Pak is falling into the SL, BD, Windies tier of test cricket because of this glaringly obvious problem. Now Rameez has made a lot of right sounding noises about fixing things, but to be honest, so did his predecessor Wasim Khan. Fixing FC cricket is a multi-year project. PCB usually has 'patron' turnover every few years resulting in executing failures, deadlock and 'back to square one' syndrome. Add to the daunting task, Immy the dummy has rammed through the "restructuring" of Pak FC cricket, and cut down FC team number to 6. Why? Because Australia has 6 teams and they are so good, so Pak must have 6 teams. Abey fake-youthiye, Australia has 1/10th the population of Pakistan. I mean, what this will do, is harshly restrict the talent pool of Pakistan cricket to an unnecessary, unfairly low ceiling. Only about 75 players in Pakistan can viably have cricket as a career. Contrast that to India, where with 35+ Ranji teams, and good player salaries for just for FC cricket, you have 500 slots for players. Indian cricket economy is such that even if you are not a regular Ranji player, but in the top 1000 cricketers in the country, you can make a handsome living and a reasonable career out of it. That's what is ensuring that a lot of potential athletic talent is going to commit and invest valuable years of their youth to the sport. Greenbros by cutting their FC teams down to 6, have pulled off a masterfully sheikhchilli move of cutting off the branch they are sitting on. No wonder their test team "is a sucks". nevada Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Our own team is susceptible to such low scores against this Aussie stack, even in India. Its all part of the game,no big deal.

Serpico Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Same team bundled us for 36 couple of years ago. Granted it was pink ball in Australia, but this is a special bowling line-up and Pak has mediocre batsmen except babar

Now that he's out of the team, I hope our fans forgive his last 2 years 2018 version of Cummins and Hazlewood was good but the 2021 version was another level. Starc was ordinary against us last year but Cummins and Hazlewood were bowling with pinpoint accuracy at 88 mph and switched to bouncer barrage mode whenever needed. Pant and Gill attacked and played heroic knocks but it was Gujara who endured their most hostile spells. Edited March 14, 2022 by MechEng

Majestic Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Hillarious from Hasan Ali. Just saw the highlights. The guy was celebrating the wicket of Warner in second inning even after having a deficit of 400 at that point of time as if he has taken a world cup winning wicket. express bowling 1
