He depends on slower & wide ones too much and ends up giving boundaries at key moments in the death. Not the match ka mujrim but definitely had the opportunity to get us through. support level is just a stupid word, in bumrah absence he is ur best bowler..............and ur best made a mistake . In cricket everyones makes it was lack of homework that he bowled slower on length to asif ali not knowing thats asif ali strength , southee did same last time It was the same bhuvi who a few months back in crunch situation gave 4 runs and took one wkt against WI where powell n pooran were set and there was dew . Same situation thi https://www.bcci.tv/videos/5556238/4-runs--a-wicket-bhuvi-delivers-a-superb-penultimate-over It was his 4 run over and 1 wkt of nawaz that got us back in game yesterday, he bowled the bad last over and it happens. U cant execute every day the right thing specially in death situations Edited September 5, 2022 by Ankit_sharma03
Sgattick10 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 He hardly executes anything in pressure matches express bowling and Vilander 2

If he's the best we got then we need to find someone better to be the spear. Whether we have a ready alternative is another question, hence not saying he needs to be dropped. My idea of a spearhead is someone who raises his hand in tough situations and often gets the job done. I don't feel very confident of Bhuvi donning that hat. This slower ball over-reliance is something i have raised earlier & prolly u as well. He's not some naya chokra figuring his way at the highest level, I expect better than this from a veteran. Mistakes happen, lets say he missed a yorker on a key delivery, but he's not even attempting that as much, a kid like Arshdeep seemed better at the end.

putrevus Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 (edited) Some morons keeps bringing WI, Bangladesh and matches against useless teams to state Bhuvi's effectiveness. Bhuvi is one useless bowler who will never do well in tough situations in crunch matches. He should have been kicked out from the team in 2019 world cup. A guy like Bhuvi is not hard to develop. I would take Chahar over Bhuvi anyday. He adds value with bat also. Edited September 5, 2022 by putrevus Vilander and AKane 2
Lord Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Whats his best performance in must win/knockouts
Number Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Again and again proving to be a mental midget. Not a single yorker. express bowling 1
Nikola Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) Great stats today. Economy of 7.5 when all others were expensive than him. Idk why every time he gets blamed. Great economy of 6.8 in Australia too! Who cares if he doesn't picks up wicket or can't win you match. Not long ago read some expert say here that he will be making test comeback soon as he isn't 40 yet. Great days ahead for sure. Edited September 6, 2022 by Nikola Lord, singhvivek141 and Number 1 1 1
vvvslaxman Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Bhuvi got to bowl on the fastest MCG pitch in years. It kinda helped him upfront. It provided some oomph to his bowling. Combination of that and his swing he was looking very good. Final over mixed bag. Bowled a rank full toss to a tailender like Rauf who cleared the long MCG boundary comfortably. Good that he made up with 4 dot balls (last one bye). 7/10

That in itself makes a 10 run diff i hope he shows more confidence in his yorkers and captains needs to stop giving him fields for wide yorkers , thats just asking to bowl at one side . Lord 1

I am still worried about guys like Shaheen shah, Rauf smashing us all over in the end overs. Luckily we had assistance upfront.

Clarke Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 (edited) BK could have really tightened the screws, and this applies to Shami & Pandya as well. The pitch was helpful for a while and they went to the short bowling route unnecessarily, giving relief boundaries in those tight overs. Edited October 26, 2022 by Clarke nevada 1

Nikhil_cric Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 At his current pace, I'm not sure why Rohit bowls him in the death. Back in the 2019 World Cup, he was near his quickest clocking up to 90 mph so it was alright to bowl him there. He should bowl PP and in the middle.
