I believe there are rules that govern the total size of the touring party, and even if BCCI flies additional players to Australia, they may not be able to stay/practice with the Tournament squad.

He was probably picked as a stop-gap for the injured Mitch Marsh Then he played some blistering knocks and bowled sharp to make them regret not picking him in the squad. There was an article or two about this a few weeks ago. Now he is in the squad but "won't be rushed" into the X1, which they will regret if Mitch Marsh fails to click. express bowling 1
