Has Saini made any improvements after the Australia tour ?

Looked very raw and bowled wrong lengths most of the time and ended up being very expensive in most of his spells.

These should be young kids playing for India.

he was not his 100% then.. however some of our experts here say that he is not in the form that he was showing 2017-18

Yes. Already quite aged too. But he is one of the rare workhorses in our First Class. Not many 140-145k+ bowlers who regularly play first class. 

Siraj is the only one other than Saini.

Left arm spinner. Had a few good seasons in domestic. Good with the bat too.

Most teams would try out younger players in the A team, after all that is the whole point of the concept.

 

However Dravid & co seem to be on a mission to increase the average age rather than the quality of all Ind teams

 

When the A team bowlers are older than your senior team then you've got serious issues.

You are so right.

 

Mukesh Kumar and Saini are both older than Bumrah and Siraj. 

 

These selectors are really really poor.

These selectors are of a very very poor quality.

 

Mukesh Kumar is a 29 year old 5'9" medium pacer. He has no business playing for India.

 

Atit Sheth is another short trundler who is picked for his supposed batting ability. 

 

They should have played Kartik Tyagi.

 

And Umran Malik could have been in the squad for the 2nd Unofficial Test after returning from NZ

Why teams tour? They are part of touring calender. It's a part of test championship.

Jayant Yadav seriously....  Legendary parchi selection. 

R Sai Kishore,  Anukul Roy & there must be 100's of better spin A/R in India than this journeyman. 

 

Saini has really started bowling well...  Did decently In guess vs NZ A too.

Off spin is dying...  Only Indian jholachap selectors believe it is relevant.  SLAO & Leggies are ruling both formats. Quality Left arm spin is match winning factor in SC....  And offers control overseas.

Atit Seth and Mukesh playing India A cricket is just mediocrity at its best unless this squad was picked considering knockout matches for vht are on hence less players to choose from but still bowlers like nagarkoti, porel, simranjeet etc could have been picked. Another wasted chance

Kuldeep Sen could have also played...  Squad was announced well after MP got knocked out.
