Its one thing for the usual suspects to rant, chestbeat, whine and moan.  But when quality posters start repeatedly falling into that trap, one starts to wonder whats going on...

He said in the post match presentation it was to put the team under pressure and see how they react. Perhaps Axar now is more confident and better off for it. If so I can get behind that. WE complain that team puts too much of an emphasis on not losing bilaterals, this is a departure from that.

How am I biased?  What does it mean he bowled upfront. Did he have over left or not. Was he injured??? How long has he has been playing cricket and shouldn't he be well hyderated?

 

I will take him Pandya bowling last over Axar bowling last over any day even if he has to roll his arm. He was facing number 10 and 11.

 

I don't have anything against Pandya. I just don't think he is good enough to be captain of India in any format.I just don't think making a players like him or Rahul captain of Indian team is right thing to do.

We all know he didn't bowl because he was not fit due to cramp. But see how he twists it in press conference. 

 

Positive thing about Pandya is I haven't seen a single match where he takes the game lightly. He is always there to give his 100 percent. Always pumped up.

 

He over rates himself but that actually works in his favour because that removes 50% of the pressure.  

 

Pandya's failure so far has been due to his limited abilities rather than attitude or mental weakness.

Pandya is playing for Indian team over 6 years, he is still at best bits and pieces player who is needed for Indian team in white ball cricket but making him captain is going too far,how the heck does he become captain. His workload few years b ack is 5% of Pat cummins. Still he keeps missing. Can't complete his quota. Now he exclusively plays T20. So his frequent unavailability must be questioned. It is the shorted format and if you keep missing, if you opt not to bowl on and off then that is not right. He has to be able to bowl 4 overs consisetntly availbale for every series as this is the only format he plays.

If I want to talk about the sport and the team I enjoy following, with rational folks who are like-minded - not necessarily similar opinions, but just in terms of rationality and interests - and I struggle to do that on a forum calling itself 'Indiancricketfans', that says a lot.
