Last test, both Sundar and Jadeja outbowled Bumrah, Kamboj, Thakur. 

 

In Lord's second innings, it was Sundar who gave us victory on a platter, otherwise the way Stokes and Root were batting, 300 target was on. That we somehow still lost is another matter.

We saved the last test due to their batting. The day these allrounder spinners consistently pick wickets in sena ( not some cheap wickets when opposition already scores 550+ ) makes sense to go ahead with two of these in same 11.  First objective should be to pick 20 wickets not cushion the batting order.

From loss of home series even with Jadeja, Ashwin, Kuldeep, Sundar to this is an epic turnaround. All the characters involved in this deserves a round of applause.. But this guy's cameo partnership with Prasidh Krishna proved to be a massive difference. Now he has played a role in Gabba win, Perth win, Edgbaston, win finally oval win. 4 SENA wins. Those big hits by him, while batting with tailender Prasidh in the 2nd inning proved to be crucial.  I used to underestimate his hitting ability. But he has shown spine in this test by scoring 53 from 46 (2nd inning). Kudos to him

Generational prospect. Utilize him properly and you will get an 8000 runs, 300 wickets player in him.

This guy is a proper allrounder, not bits & pieces as some are. He needs to handled well, and hope Gill keeps belief on him as his premier spinner!

Agressive batting alone is not spine. Stonewalling for hours and saving games takes a lot of spine!
