Trichromatic
He is already an ATG cricketer, won U19 WC as coach and now coaching senior team. He had distrastrous 2007 WC as captain and didn't get a chance in 2011 WC. Link to comment

Vijy
let him win the WC first. always liked dravid immensely as a person and cricketer, but am still not fully sold on him as coach Lord 1 Link to comment
Vijy
If we go by all-timers, both sunny and kapil should be in the list of top 10, especially kapil BacktoCricaddict 1 Link to comment

BH-BAIB
Both him and Rohit are process oriented. They will exert pressure on the opposition by using the conditions and trying to needle the weaknesses of opposition players to the max extent possible. Fielding plays an important part of this approach. If we go on to win this WC,this will be the legacy of these two players apart from what they have done earlier. Link to comment
cricketfan28
Obvious, if we lose semis it won't help , but reaching finals or winning the cup will. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
Shouldn’t this thread be created if we win WC nevada, Frustrated and raki05 3 Link to comment
Frustrated
Last 3 ODI WCs, we made it to semis & beyond (2011 WC we won). This time also we hv reached SF. Losing it from here would mean we achieved nothing more. Only thing that matters is Winning the title. nevada and raki05 2 Link to comment

Ravi_Shastri
Most of the recently converted boot lickers on ICF were abusing him last year this time. Trichromatic and Lord 1 1 Link to comment
NameGoesHere
Given that ICF has severely criticised, and mocked Dravid the coach for his teams’ perceived failings, it’s more than fair that he be generously acclaimed if his team wins the WC. At least the “Guru Gary” levels we saw before. Link to comment
raki05
First let him win ,the horror show he delivered with selections in t20 wc 22 and other tournaments and foreign tour i dont trust him. For 18 u 19 wc win that team was atg u19 team , even in U 19 wc we lost one u19 wc also under his coaching due to his random changes during tournament. If he somehow win wc this time i dont want him to continue as Indian coach, bring it back loud mouth drunken master+ Bharat Arun. vvvslaxman
Yea. It is very very rare that everyone in the side is in form at the same time. I have never seen this before. There is always one guy who would be scratching around. Only two guys who have no fully come to the party are World no.1 batsman Gill World no.1 bowler Siraj. I mean they haven't reached the height they are capable of yet in this world cup. So it is a good thing. India is in auto-pilot mode. Having said that India has been in auto pilot mode for the last 3 world cups as well. 2011 group table 4 out of 6 1 tie 1 lost FINISHED 2nd 2015 group table 6 out of 6 FINISHED 1st 2019 group table 7 out of 9 - 1 NR - 1 Lost FINISHED 1st 2023 group table 9 out of 9 FINISHED 1st India is a big tournament team. Just that they falter in the crucial match. OFcourse those are only 2 matches where they failed. One due to rain and bad selections. We had different coaches. But we always did well in group stages regardless of who the coach is. Link to comment

Trichromatic
Created this thread early to see if his critics are still holding ground. Those who were giving expert opinions and making everything sound so obvious, basically experts of ICF, whether they will stick to their view later also or not. Ravi_Shastri 1 Link to comment
