RSA whitewashed us in the 2000 series, dominated us big time, Sachin was the captain.

That was a gun SA team - probably their best with likes of Donald, Pollock, Klusener, Cronje, Kirsten, Boucher etc. More than half that team will walk into SA ATG XI.

Now compare that team to the NZ team which white washed us. They had about to retire Southee as the main pacer. Santner was their best spinner and he's as average as they come. Plus he didn't even play the 3rd Test! As for batters, Williamson didn't play the series and they had no star batters. This was a typical Davis vs Goliath matchup with us being Goliath and we were hammered.

IPL is far more international an event that the CT.

The concept of international sport refers to sport when the participants represent at least two countries

Will be flat pitches so there is some hope. Nothing from Kohli

ILT20 just finished, so making totally flat decks will be hard and if Ind qualifies it will 5 matches played here

As per the match and in the books we lost the toss and SL decided to bat first.

SL deciding to bat first was as good as winning the toss for us. We would have bowled first anyway. Would have loved Aus winning the toss and bat first in 2019 WC final too. Usually Aus always bats first in big games but they were more rational this time

No it is not.

A pyjama league where players play for money instead of national pride can never be an international event.

Rohit would swap all his ipl trophies for one world cup.
