Eager to come back as said the other day. Still got the passion, skills and hunger. But more importantly has the winning mentality and experience which Gill and Gambhir sorely lack. Could easily slot in at 3 or 4 and would be a perfect VC to the green Gill. Could be the turnaround and shot in the arm team needs right now.

I disagree. In leeds we had 3 bad days. All 3 ended bad. Collapses. 
 

in here we had 2 bad days. Yesterday 58/4 and even today. So whoever says we dominated its incorrect. We gave away at the end. Its not how you start but how you end.

Nope. We can't go backwards and get another 37 year old has been in the team. I would rather bring in Shreyas Iyer or Sai or Jurel in place of Karun Nair. The problem has been our lower order. We lost the 2 Tests due to our tail not scoring anything whereas England have managed to score 100+ with their lower order every time. That's where the difference is.

 

If we take our catches and get some steel in our lower order, we would be up 3-0. Going back to Rahane doesn't solve any problem.

We dominated ENgland most of the time. We just lost absolutely vital moments due to our own negligence.These are fixable.

Rahane would bat worse than Nair (who's batting has been an eyesore) .

At least these young players are batting long and scoring big ,just imagine if we were stuck with Roko and Purane for this series , England would have won the series by now and playing their reserves at OT

Top order was shyte today but throughout the series it has been our tail which has been non-existent. In 6 chances at bat, our batters have done well 5 out of 6 times. But the tail has imploded every single time. The difference between the tail along with catching has been the biggest difference so far.

 

Even if we had a tail which could somehow average 10, we end up leading the series.

This team needs a mentor, not a panga coach. Someone calm, who does not yell or MC BC at people. Deserves respect and command with this calm demeanor and attitude. A thinking coach with good people skills. This ausshole ain't it.

 

India just got out-thought. This was a gettable total with tons of time.

He can certainly do better than Nair, who is just 2-3 years younger and not a player with a long future ahead.
