Ultimate_Game Posted October 31 Posted October 31 One of the best and a Hall of Fame innings. Similar to Harmanpreet's 170 against Aussies in 2017 except this came in a bigger match while chasing 340 in a ICC knockout! raki05, BacktoCricaddict, Gollum and 1 other 1 3
Popular Post maniac Posted October 31 Popular Post Posted October 31 (edited) I will add more @Ultimate_Game - she is 25 already, she should retire after the World Cup and make way for a youngster @Mariyam wait what? Women’s Cricket? Semi final? When? Is Sharukh Khan’s team winning? @velu Jemimah jersey number 5, 5+won = 6. Thala for a reason @Austin 3:!6 Jemimah is greater than every Bangladeshi athlete male or female ever. @New guy brahmanical patriarchy smashed Edited October 31 by maniac Mariyam, BacktoCricaddict, Ultimate_Game and 9 others 12
ShoonyaSifar Posted October 31 Posted October 31 So many of the same guys were properly abusing her and the team (not criticizing) for being more focused on making reels or BCCI wasting money ob them after we lost three close games to Aus, SA and England. Some of the abuses to the same cricketers is still there in the Women's world cup thread. Was amusing then to see 'told you so' posts after the win though. BacktoCricaddict 1

maniac Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Adding one more @The Realist Malnourished Pastor Jemimah should be rewarded with a seat at the big boys buffet table alongside Rohit, Shardul and Prithvi Shaw :)
bsriharsha Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Was watching the innings fully. The magnitude of the innings sinked in later. Jem's innings should be the watershed moment for Indian women's cricket though. Ultimate_Game 1

Excellent innings by Jemimah Rodrigues, showcassing her talent, elite level fitness and ability to standout in second most critical match of the tournament. Like you mentioned, if India wins ODI WC today, it will be the gamechanger for womens cricket. Kapil Dev 175 was mindblowing but the finals win was a milestone moment. It was then that the cricket bats started having poster of Kapil, Sunny, Vengsarkar etc.In a way Indian cricketers across ODI and test formats became marketable with the sucess of the 1983 win which was against all odds. Todays win will indeed be a defining moment in Indian womens cricket, should it happen. Ultimate_Game 1
