ICFers' reaction to Rodrigues' knock and India's win

So many of the same guys were properly abusing her and the team (not criticizing) for being more focused on making reels or BCCI wasting money ob them after we lost three close games to Aus, SA and England.

Some of the abuses to the same cricketers is still there in the Women's world cup thread. Was amusing then to see 'told you so' posts after the win though.

I will add more

@Ultimate_Game - she is 25 already, she should retire after the World Cup and make way for a youngster

@Mariyam wait what? Women’s Cricket? Semi final? When? Is Sharukh Khan’s team winning?

@velu Jemimah jersey number 5, 5+won = 6. Thala for a reason

@Austin 3:!6 Jemimah is greater than every Bangladeshi athlete male or female ever.

@New guy brahmanical patriarchy smashed

@putrevus It was almost as good as Kohli's chases from 2010-2019

@maniac I predicted in 2008 that she would do this!!

@sage Hitman will be so proud. After all she could not have done it without his advice

@express bowling Forget that, Renuka Singh was bowling 140 kph thunderbolts!!

@rkt.india Kranti Gaud is faster. She trained in Himachal Pradesh

@ravishingravi This is the end of Western civilization!!

@Gollum It is time that women's cricket got the recognition it deserves. Same thing for chess and hockey and javelin and all those other sports that are overshadowed by .......................................................   ..........................   ......................    .........................................

@zen Great knock, but Pujara is still the best #3 of all time.

@Chaos Absolut Cinema!!

Spot on!!

Was watching the innings fully. The magnitude of the innings sinked in later.

Jem's innings should be the watershed moment for Indian women's cricket though.

And if they win the world cup, it would open the floodgates for Women cricket and you'll see the difference we saw in Men's cricket at the turn of the century.

Excellent innings by Jemimah Rodrigues, showcassing her talent, elite level fitness and ability to standout in second most critical match of the tournament.

Like you mentioned, if India wins ODI WC today, it  will be the gamechanger for womens cricket.
Kapil Dev 175 was mindblowing but the finals win was a milestone moment. It was then that the cricket bats started having poster of Kapil, Sunny, Vengsarkar etc.In a way Indian cricketers across ODI and test formats became marketable with the sucess of the 1983 win which was against all odds. Todays win will indeed be a defining moment in Indian womens cricket, should it happen.
