Panesar did some interview with Ind yt channel , thats where he said need a person who knows how to win vs Aus.

Think Harminson called him more of a mentor and coach.

If Shastri becomes coach, there won't be enough alcohol left for the rest of the team to drink so it'll work out well for everyone

Even professionals failed to acknowledge the role played by Bharat Arun during that time. Shastri's biggest speciality that he worked with some of the best staff without influencing them too much. Something that Gambhir and McCullum can't do, they want to be central figures.

I’d love to see him as the England coach, that will make it more interesting to follow English cricket. Also because these guys also keep having so many podcasts n stuff discussing their team. Will be good entertainment.

 

But I don’t see any credible source putting his name out. It’s just one guy who’s nowhere near the decision circle making a comment in an interview lol.
