sage Posted Monday at 05:26 PM Posted Monday at 05:26 PM Their wins have never been comfortable, much worse than our campaign even. So many match winners are completely out of form. Buttler at the top is a walking wicket. But they have managed to produce clutch moments at the right time and we have a nack for getting out of form players back in form against us.
vvvslaxman Posted Monday at 05:30 PM Posted Monday at 05:30 PM They bat very deep. Spin is the way to go. That is their achilles heel.
Lone Wolf Posted Monday at 05:41 PM Posted Monday at 05:41 PM Easiest side to face in Semi final for us... But we usually stumble against lesser fancied opponents as well in KO's Gollum and Adamant 2
Gollum Posted Monday at 05:46 PM Posted Monday at 05:46 PM Happy to face them in SF instead of RSA, NZ. Unless we have a stinker, we should win. Lone Wolf, New guy and Norman 3
vvvslaxman Posted Monday at 06:25 PM Posted Monday at 06:25 PM West Indies defended 196 against England at Wankhede. If you look at it spinners bowled 12 overs. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-men-s-t20-world-cup-2025-26-1502138/england-vs-west-indies-15th-match-group-c-1512733/full-scorecard rollingstoned 1
rangeelaraja Posted Monday at 07:32 PM Posted Monday at 07:32 PM Phil Salt averages nearly 35 at a strike rate of 165. Butler is out of form but can change a game in 3-4 overs. T20 knockouts can be lottery - would never underestimate England because their batting has massive hitting power. I have not even mentioned Harry Brook.

Prabhdeep Singh Posted Monday at 07:52 PM Posted Monday at 07:52 PM Kuldeep in for Arshdeep, make Abhishek and Tilak bowl as well
Sandz Posted Monday at 09:20 PM Posted Monday at 09:20 PM All we need is a Kachra to roll England over. Get Bishnoi in as he is the closest thing to Khachra in the current shortlist, or, can we draft in Chawla? He is still under 40. vvvslaxman 1
Ultimate_Game Posted Monday at 09:53 PM Posted Monday at 09:53 PM Simple... let @IndianRenegade open the match thread and its easy peasy Frustrated and G_B_ 1 1

Joffras first two overs and Rashids last two overs are crucial. Will jacks will be pummelled by india in wankhede. My only fear is if India bat first they dont commit harakiri. England will definitely win the toss. India needs to score 225 unless the wicket is tacky like that of the US match. If thats the case and if we bat first its bye bye. Dew will play huge role. Shubham Ranjane and Sanjay Krishnamurti belted 5 sixes in last 4 overs against us. Just think what brook and jacks will do.
neel roy Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Also its funny that other than the semi finals of 2022, in the last 12 t20 matched between india and england, India has won 9. The other 2 they lost was because of Liam Livingstone and he is not in the team. In both wins he scored 20 ball 40s.. plus he could bowl off spin as well.. no idea why he was dropped. In flat wankhede track I would be terrified of him.
jf1gp_1 Posted Tuesday at 12:54 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:54 AM Play proper cricket to your potential and we should be fine. Winning next two toss will help but all of us know we aren't.
vvvslaxman Posted Tuesday at 02:07 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:07 AM It won't be straight forward guys. Most of these guys are familiar with Indian surfaces. Also England has a lot of X factor players like Phil Salt, Brook, Jacks, Buttler(even with out of form) tapandrun 1
Frustrated Posted Tuesday at 02:17 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:17 AM Eng almost lost to Nepal at wankhede. Lost to Windies at the same ground. All India needs to do against Eng is : Avoid dropping 3 catches. But that is asking for too much from this Ind side. Abhishek & Tilak look fully committed to dropping as many catches as possible.
sage Posted Tuesday at 04:14 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 04:14 AM Also I have got tickets for this match, first match I am seeing in a very long time. G_B_, nevada, maniac and 2 others 4 1
nevada Posted Tuesday at 04:20 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:20 AM Abhishek will bat them out of the game and then our spinners will take over.
