Ha bhai badi meherbani kardi 2 6s lagake..

Take a look at the other captains also.

KW opening and carried till the end...

Smith-least said about him is better.

Morgan-synonym of consistency after wc

Some other captains like Holder and chigumbura are also performing...

Its not always captain's fault but dont try to be fool and dont jump on those 2 sixes and 2 wickets..

Dhoni lost it with his captaincy. He looks to defend runs rather than taking wickets. He saved Jadeja till the end thinking he will be useful with rrr around 6-7. On these flat pitches 8 an over can be chased. India needed wickets today and we had our best chance when Australia were 5 down.

Maybe, but his strategy would have had a better chance of success if Umesh and Sran bowled with better discipline. The number of hit me balls and leg side dollies was cringe worthy when we should have been keeping the pressure up.

I thought this was a genuine thread.....Jadeja was looking for singles in the end with no intent.... Giving a rookie like dhawan the strike

and Dhoni obviously for backing him

there you go.

so now an innings of 20 odd and 2 6s absolves him of all the other crap?

Did I wake up in a bizzaro dimension where India is pak and dhoni is afridi  where fans are impressed by 20 runs ????

Even India scored 50 runs in the last 5 overs, which means his strategy is not correct.

It is not new that he is defensive...

Didnt you watch one of the post or pre match interview where he said on asking about picking R.Dhawan that it is slightly difficult to pick him because it is necessary to bowl few "Dot"balls in middle overs which is dhawan incapable of....

Yes and having played with these bowlers for so long, he should know that they cant defend even 80 off last 10. There was help for Jadeja and it was best option for him to take 2-3 wickets more rather than wait till end. This approach works well for his own batting, but not for our bowling.

Its not about being impressed, but can't really ask more than a 9-ball 23 from a batsman - he did better than Rahane/Kohli in hitting right?  Point is that we have structural problems with the team - batting is low on power hitting, and bowling is just average at best, and simply incapable of putting pressure on quality batsmen on good pitches.  And yet people brush those 2 facts aside and put it all on one person.  Everybody is aware that Dhoni is on the downside of his career and not the great hitter he used to be, and he doesn't get every decision right as captain.  But he still is a valuable part of our team, and a decent captain.  But the amount of propaganda vomited out by posters as if they are on PMS is just way over the top.  As other posters have said, what can a captain do, if after 40 games, chewt**ya bowlers dish out pies at key times instead of building pressure.  What's Kohli going to do different as captain? Suddenly transform them into quality bowlers?  He's going to magically prevent a Rishi Dhawan from letting the ball slip between his legs, turning a dot ball into 2 runs?

Lol dhoni' once in a blue moon performance and his fans are out in full force. No talk of taking responsibility and stepping down after yet another ODI series loss. But, but, we would have lost anyways. Is there anyone better? Till then captaincy is Dhoni's jagir

Dhoni is a decent captain only in the wet dreams of Dhoni fans. His captaincy is staler than a year old molding bread

Agree, many times before in Australia, our bowlers have let us down. At the moment, the only difference I see between the teams is the control of bowling that Aussies are showing and the fielding. Even batting, we are more or less matching them. But, its the bowling and the fielding that is letting the team down.

Dhoni tried pretty much everything to win. He looked far more energetic that Sran am afraid. That's not good enough from a young bowler. They say in Melbourne, you can't hide your weakness. Our fast bowling weakness was on show today.

How dare Dhoni only hit 2 4s and 2 sixes in 9 balls.  What was he thinking?  And Why did Jadeja only take 2 wickets in his 10 overs for less than 5 RPO.

Please post more vulgar crap about these 2 so that you feel better.

No other captain in the history of cricket had so many series lost and still retained captaincy. So he is having it very, very easy

The owner of the "process" who is at the helm of Indian cricket for 8 to 10 years has to take majority of the blame... You cannot put majority of the blame on others... It's the "process manager" who has to own up... But fanboys will not understand it...
