How should India approach "brave" England in CT Final?

Looks like India will finish top of Group B (barring a miralce result in SL v Pak game) and beating Bangladesh in Semi-finals will be a formality.

Definitely England v India CT Final 2017

Weather for Oval, London on 18 June is sunny and no chance of rain, based on today's pitch looks like easy 300 plus, but England's batting could easily post 350+ and chase 300+ easily.

India will go with same team, but if India bat first Rohit and Dhawan will need to push the run-rate a little harder and aim to have 100 inside 15 overs, need to hide Ashwin and Yuvi somewhere in the field, and reduce number of dot balls. India's fielding will have to be A-grade because attacking England will provide chances in the field.

Root, Morgan and Stokes all in form. And Butler is due a big one soon. This is some batting line-up.

i agree with Ganguly, Bangla don't have it in them to beat India semi-finals, forget the difference in quality but also too much pressure to handle, it was embarrassing in the warm-ups.

if it were a group match, i would have given Bangla an outside chance, in high pressure games they are the bridesmaid to the Choke Africa

I would rate Ind-BD game at 50-50 mainly because BD is playing good enough in this competition to make something out of the luck that appears to be smiling on it .... Vs NZ, it was 33/4 and on the brink of another exit, but a couple of its batsmen hit 100s (a very low probability event) to get it past the finishing line

Ind will have to bring its A game

Bangladesh is quite a decent team and they just beat New Zealand. Anything can happen in a knockout on a given day. India would do well to not take the game lightly.

England could be beaten by SL/Pak in SF as well. So we are still far off from that scenario.

Didn't we just beat them by 250 odd

Arrogance is assuming England will continue to steamroll their way to the final.   Their brand of cricket is liable to cost them a game based on batting failure once every few games.

Forget the toss, rain, player selection, bad form - Murphy's law can go all ape-$hit, but I don't see any scenario where toygers can do anything but let us through to the final.   That's not arrogance.  Just reality.  India have already had their customary - ambushed by a lesser team on a day they didn't bring their A game - performance against SL.   Banga bandhus going to be absolutely bulldozed without breaking a sweat.  They know it too.   It would be a total black swan event for anything else to happen.

Sorry toyger lurkers, don't mean to be harsh.   But just like you lot lack the balls to sign up and post here, your team lacks any semblance of a chance in the semifinal.
