Popular Post coffee_rules
Quote MUMBAI: Rohit Sharma couldn't resist a chuckle on hearing the question which came across more as a suggestion. 'Why don't you try opening in Test cricket?' a scribe asked him during a promotional event here on Thursday. A timely query, you'd have to say, if one looks at how Murali Vijay, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan have been getting along in England so far. 118 runs at a sorry average of 9.83 is what India's top three batsmen have managed in the two Tests that have gone by. zen
The reporters ask such questions and then put out headlines such as these I have seen these guys set up politicians too like asking a BJP politician - will Nitesh Kumar be a good PM? What do you expect him to say when asked if he would be prepared to open the batting? I'm not in favour of recalling him but it is encouraging to see that he is still keen on making a comeback to the test side. Will set the right example amongst youngsters that IPL is not the be-all and end-all of cricket. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

jusarrived
I told you guys he will be brought back , infact he may do well in Aus too . Apart from India , Aus is one of the places which has true bounce and really suits his "Technique" . I guess he just chose not embarrass himself in Eng . UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Austin 3:!6
No harm in trying. Remember, his career changed after he started opening in ODIs. He can have that Sehwag like impact for us in tests.Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk Jimmy Cliff and Clarke 2 Link to comment

Nikola
Thing is he should have been given consistent chances for whole series in overseas tour. He scored a good 70 odd in difficult conditions in new Zealand. I would have given him chance for whole nz,england and aus tour in 2014 and see how he does if he would have failed then i would have dropped him but they kept dropping and bringing him back after every match (bit similar with shikhar dhawan but sd atleast got chance in england).
