Kumble gave an entire power point presentation from what I heard :cantstop:

whatta contrast

anyways might aound sound fun and cool and badass but not very professional.

how can you have a management role with attitude like that? I don't think his application should be entertained.

Big fan of his as a player but calling spade a spade, don't want him to be the coach it will be a disaster

It's more than clear at this point that BCCI has already identified their man and rest is all a sham. They will find any sort of reasons or excuses to "disqualify" the other folks or find faults with them. If BCCI was really serious about finding the best person for the job and acting in good faith, they would've considered every application even if itwas a few hours or a day late. After all it's not a phucking "sarkaari kaantract/tender" we are talking here

They should accept Mc Dermott's application .Then there will be at least 3-4 serious contendors.

Most probably BCCI decided who is going to be next coach..All this is eye wash :dontknow:

Sehwag definitely won't get Indian coach but as an aside imagine the situation in kings XI :cantstop:

How the hell did they appoint him coach :hysterical:

He may not but it's still worrying that someone from BCCI approached Sehwag to apply for the role! What sort of "tamaasha" is this?! Looks like BCCI want to drag Indian cricket into the dark ages where coach role is used as a carrot or as a means to win brownie points. And when you couple it with our regressive selection panel I do really worry about Indian cricket's future.

Sehwag's gotta be more professional than that , a two line resume does not sound that you are interested in any field regardless of what your past credentials are.   Act like you want it.   If this is how we coaches and speaks to the media then I don't think he'd be a good fit.

Ashwin had mentioned in an interview that viru hated team meetings...:phehe:

Once he asked for time to speak during team meeting and it was about why players were getting 3 free tickets instead of 6.

There was another story ( don't remember where...probably during commentary) about reviews and viru saying...one review would be mine.

He also stopped a game to ask the 12th man  Ishu Sharma to check his i pod for the song that he could not remember.

Yeah ...coach material indeed.

Lol don't think he wants to be coach, just having fun I think.

I hope he isn't picked lol.

Sehwag :hatsoff:

Resume should ideally be 1 pg, max 2 if required. I have gone through some extremely boring resumes that are 3-5 pgs long. The applicant would have tried to fit in everything possible. At times, the same things are mentioned in every position. Such long resumes are probably popular in subcontinent / Asia

This is a promising unit destined for greatness, unless a clown like Sehwag butts in to become the Guru. WTF is BCCI thinking?

Well said.

I want a coach who can really work on the player's mental side of things when they're out of form. Viru as a coach will probably be the worst thing to happen to our National Team when it comes to Tests. Can imagine him dropping Vijay and Pujara to get in "attacking" batmsen like Rohit and Dhawan.
