Guess he did not completely recover after surgery and needs rest. He is a proven performer vs WI and someone like Pant can be tested.

Poor team selection. Why Kohli is not rested and why likes of Rahane and Karthik are in the team defies logic. Plus what's the point of continuing with Yuvraj and Dhoni in this pointless odi series?

Rubbish squad. Pointless bi lateral ODI series was a good time to try a host of young faces and rest the seniors, especially the test cricketers. Not to mention players who are not good ODI cricketers like Rahane and Umesh

 

Ive been looking forward to this squad, thought it would, or should, be an A team, what a wasted opportunity.

 

Rohit only came back in the IPL right? Did he need a rest? I would have sent him and Shikar, with Rohit captaining
