Shikar Dhawan bigger liability than MSD in T20

Like someone mentioned in match thread we can’t have both Rohit and Shikhar in t20 team and that too opening together.

Shikhar was dropped because of consistent poor performances in T20,in WT20 we were so desperate that we even got Rahane over him. How he suddenly walked back in to the main slot in T20 is a million $ question especially when the guy who replaced him has a S/R of 160+ with a 100 and a 50 in 6 games he played. Something is very shady

Both Dhawan and Dhoni have no place in T 20.

Bloody ipl retentions and auctions mean these guys will go on .

Because we tend to mix a lot with t20 and odi. What is working in odi’s ends up getting copy pasted into t20s and this to me is totally wrong. We must have a seperate squad of batsmen when picking t20 team. Whats the use of two months of IPL when you want to retain same players.

I would get new openers - Pant and Rahul... and play Rohit at 4 like he does for MI..

Rohit as opener in ODIs -Agree... But that just carried over to T20s which I am not a big fan of..

Rahul is a natural opener.. why play him in the middle order?

 

Again, we're only talking T20s here... Don't mix formats

T20 in Delhi was t20 . They were awesome

Dont forget Rohit too. Either make him bat in middle and force him to go from ball one or just throw him away if he can't. Dhawan in current form has a place in t20. First t20 match he did play very well. But if he fails after few more matches then throw him out as well. Rahul and Nitish Rana can be tried. Shreyas, Pandey, Pandya and dhoni is still a weak middle order since three of them are not big hitters.

The mob is fickle . Iyer was pimped relentlessley here but suddenly I notice quite a few having a pop at him and sayjng he creates weak middle order !!

 

the cycle goes on like this . Hype a player . Gets in after one or few games knives out and they must go. Despite all the words on icf of get kids in and let them develop !! Siraj also being slaughtered

 

last game was his debut knock . This game 8 over slog fest in sticky pitch . How on earth we can judge him on these games is beyond me
