Go electric and self autonomous. In India doesn't make sense to have headless chickens driving and trying to cut each other for gaining a millisecond. They feel like they won a lottery for cutting each other.

Need the following:

 

1) An extended rule on any party which is ruling in the Centre, Delhi & majority of surrounding states.

2) Phase wise relocation of polluting industries away from NCR,

3) Strict guidelines, regular inspection and implementation of Environmental laws governing construction.

4) Large air purifying towers

5) 2-Stroke engines / 2 & 3 wheelers access regulation.

6) Congestion tax for entry in the city

7) Effective green public transports.

8) Analyse and improve fuel quality and prevent/punish fuel adulteration.

9) Use Of technology and incentives for effective disposal of stubble in neighbouring states.

10) Sack that MoFo Harshwardhan (that incompetent Delhi politician who lost Delhi to AAP & Congress). PMO directly monitoring the Environment ministry.

May be they are lazy and fly too high with drugs from padosi land. In our state we give back to earth. Meaning we cultivate and put next season seed which is better as it works as soil manure.

Though the Punjab govt has already banned burning any crop residue a few years back, their CM now says he can't force the farmers not to burn the stubble.

All the 3 CMs who belong to different parties will blame each other & nothing will change in the capital. Centre unresponsive.

Idiots all of them.

if i want to give a rough estimate of crackers used in bangalore this year , it will be just 10-15% of the previous year ..

this is same in tn as well .. tn governement  requested high court to increase the allowed time to use crackers from 2 hours to 4 hours but got rejected :wall:

Read some articles here & there recently, there was mention of how rice cultivation has increased and the time period is dictated by the state govts with water requirements in mind. That leads to higher pollution levels in this time period due to concentrated burning in a few days as opposed to spread across months.

 

One Haryana officer was claiming 1-2% of farmers burn the stubble. What on Earth would happen if many more did so :shot:

Stop all loans and subsidies to farmers who do not comply with stubble burning ban.Start heavy fines.

 

Monitor construction activity and make sure they comply with pollution norms.

 

Make metro and cng buses  cheaper and make last mile connectivity better.

 

Reduce tax on electric vehicles...make them more economically viable.

Btw this crisis is the epitome of OUR general diffidence & incompetence.

 

Most of the junta gives a rats arse about air, else there wouldn't be 1 firecracker burnt in NCR region. Ditto for the million cars out on the road or the stubble burning, the construction and everything else. Not one group has made a serious attempt to make a difference, each one has a chalta hai attitude. One could blame one party more than others, but each side is responsible to an extent.

 

Aur apni gormint ke kya kehne ? They couldn't figure out ways for more & cleaner buses besides restricting cars and stubble processing machines in the last few years ? Are we that poor or just bloody losers, resigned to a toxic hellhole ?

And im happy with that. Bangalore's environment has been getting worse year upon year and deepavali does not necessarily mean lighting crackers.

Won't solve serious issues like smog by inventing boogeymen like Diwali crackers. 

 

Kejriwal was on the right track with odd-even, even though it was a bakwas idea in total

 

We need much better public transport and regulations on carbon emissions by motor vehicles, especially trucks. Diwali crackers are a red herring to me  when we can compare it to so many other things which are probably the culprits in the majority fo this smog
