In all seriousness, DK is currently better than MSD. That doesn’t mean DK is any good though

Exactly. Bar is set low with MSD in t20s, than just about anyone is considered an improvement. Heck even pappu would have fared better than dhoni had he been given this much rope.

You can tie Dhoni down with specific line and length in T20 . Unlike Yuvi who when in touch can murder wherever you pitch in the vicinity of him Dhoni doesn’t like the ball in certain areas. Wide Yorker is one. You can pin him down if you bowl acxurately

DK is a decent bat no doubt but is he a long term option? The answer is no. The best bet will be to let KL Rahul play as a keeper in T20s.

KL Rahul as it is has issues with one department. Let us not force him to do two things.  Batsmen peak at 30. Due to lack of opening spot he had to wait. He has been accumulating runs left/right in domestic limited overs cricket. You can call him mental midget, not having concentration. You can never call him a hack. His career will be short from now. But there is nothing wrong in using him as a stop gap until we have the next gen keeper ready. On evidence they are all there and there about. Had high hopes for Samson. But he is inconsistent. Naman Ojha fizzled out. PP hopeless keeper. pant needs to fine tune his skill.

Always felt u are one of the biggest fans of Yuvi here.Me too.Imo if not for cancer or that terrible knee injury he suffered in 2007 where he was adamant to go for surgery he had the chance to become the greatest odi cricketer or loi cricketer of India but unfortunately we rate him now on basis of what he could have been rather than what he was.
