The team that plays Asia cup  have players who may retire in an year or two or get kicked out or not long term options

There is no logical selection like Openers, Middle order, Lower order hitter. They just randomly select players

Some has to set the vision based on which the selectors can pick the squad .... i think it was discussed in one of the threads on how to pick test squad, etc. 

 

Would have like to see Pant, Krunal and may be even Gill in the squad .... Now may be in the LOIs vs WI

Curse of this era,washed out players,non deserving mediocre players having a musical chair going around them,the selectors have perhaps blindfolded themselves to deliberately miss out the long term options,clowns giving massages to the oldies won't do any good either....

This is not new. BCCI is only a reactive body with no long term planning. If they had any brain Shastri would be nowhere near the team.

ODI team desperately needs new blood & fresh ideas. It's so stale. Big hitters needed lower down the order. Openers are one dimensional.

It's gonna be a painful watch with a passenger team dependent on a couple of players to score big in Asia Cup or the WC. The rest are there to make up the numbers.

Can anyone explain how does these chutiya selector selected Rayadu , was he the highest run getter  in list A last season or does they see potential in him with a whooping SR of 72 to won us the wc. How come someone be so moronic to select ttf in odi basis ipl performance.
