bowl_out Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 NZ team has been piss poor. India should use the remaining two ODIs to rest key players and test bench strength. Rohit Gill Rayudu (he isn't going anywhere) Jadhav Shankar DK (wk) Pandya Jadeja Bhuvi Chahal Siraj If Dhoni is playing, get him in place of Rayudu. The Dark Horse 1
Switchankit Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Gill at 3, Rayudu was a waste of time then and is now to . He is not cut for a top side diehardpacer 1
bowl_out Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 Open with Dhawan and play Gill at 3... if TM is willing to bench/sack Rayudud SK_IH 1
zen Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) rohit dhawan gill rayudu / dhoni jadhav karthik / shankar pandya 4 bowlers depending upon which ones need to be tried out or rested Edited January 28, 2019 by zen
express bowling Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) 1. Rohit 2. Dhawan 3. Gill 4. Jadhav 5. Shankar 6. Hardik 7. Karthick / Dhoni 8. Jadeja 9. Bhuvi 10. Siraj 11. Chahal -- Gill should play in the middle order as he can be the ideal No.4 for WC. -- Play Jadhav, Hardik and Shankar in the 4 to 6 spots and give them game time. -- Khaleel should not be picked till the time he keeps on trundling. Lack of effort should not be rewarded. -- Kuldeep needs to be rested so that international batters don't get enough practice against him in dead rubber games. -- If the Great Grey Beard insists on playing then he should replace Karthick and not one of the youngsters. -- Rest the overworked Shami. express bowling Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 The most important thing is to give Gill and Siraj both games. Laaloo, wanted_desi, SrinjayDutta and 4 others 1 6
ShoonyaSifar Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Don't see Gill getting a chance. Dhoni will bat at 3 unless his hamstring rules him out of the series. Should rest Shami now and get Khaleel/Siraj Rohit Dhawan Dhoni Rayudu DK Jadhav Pandya Bhuvi Kuldeep Siraj/Khaleel Chahal Jimmy Cliff 1
bahubali Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Rayadu + other 10. velu, DHONI_FANN, express bowling and 2 others 5
gakgupta Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 I don't care about other... But play siraj, gill and shankar and make sure Gill and Shankar bat Rightarmfast 1
Dhruved Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Even if Gill gets chances, still he won't be a part of wc 2019 squad. DHONI_FANN 1
Sandeep99 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Bet we'll see this - Dhawan Rohit Rayudu Dhoni Karthik Jadhav Pandya Jadeja Kuldeep Bhuvaneshwar Shami I bet India won't make any changes and 'disturb' the momentum. DHONI_FANN 1

Nikola Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Gill won't make to xi. Middle order and lower middle order hasn't been tested yet and chance of gill making spot for worldcup is pretty low so doubt he will get chance. Should test our middle order and let opposition exploit it in absence of virat.

Doesn't look convincing while batting, timing seems very off. Struggles to hit boundaries on demand, struggles to rotate strike, both of which were his strong suites till a few years back. Makes the pitch look difficult than what it is. Puts a lot of pressure on others to pick up the slack in terms of RR. diehardpacer, Laaloo and GolGappe 3
