I mean who the hell are Kohli and Dhoni to decide whether mankad is allowed or not? Isn't it all the captain should be apprised about it. This Rajeev Shukla is biggest tool, how the hell he became chairman of ipl

Unfortunately, it was Ashwining not Mankading .... A ban on Ashwin may be on the cards :dontknow:

You are relentless, aren't you ?

Sorry no ban, he did nothing against the rules and umpire made the final call. In fact just like Dhaka 2014, he has started a discussion about a sensitive topic which is only good for the sport. Good, force ICC to address this in a watertight manner so that there is more clarity in the future. The cricket world thanks Ravi Ashwin :hatsoff:

Agree fully. Should have asked bowlers too.

IMO ashwin did nothing wrong coz  rule permits.

it was umpire's decision.  you cannot stop him from appealing.  Appealing is not an offence.

conning is an offense though .... much like claiming a bump catch

No conning here. Within rules, batsman should keep an eye out for the ball to be released.

once again taking advantage of loopholes may not be always “ethical” or is not a crime

You can Mankad the batsman if he is on the wrong side. Not Ashwin him when he is on the right side :winky:

Even if you want to believe that, we still have to hold the players to high ethical standards on the field
