Should we rest JB and get BUVI/SAMI bowl their quota to see who will play

KY - not sure how he is going to get back his confidence.

Sir may get in for KY to have extra batting.

Can all 4 - DK, KL, VS, KJ get a chance to see which two should play against SA

ROhit should take rest

It’s a warm up. Let the actual tourney begin. He might be trying out a few things :)

Play the 12 expected to start in the first game .... Btw, India plays its 1st game when other teams would be on their 2nd-3rd game

That’s a huge disadvantage. Teams would get a measure of conditions, used to pressure and get their combinations going. By the time we figure it out, might be too late

Shankar could counter swing. He needs to be tried in few games. Rahul usual suckary againt lateral movement.

KL Rahul's dismissal was pathetic. It was like Raina expecting a short ball and getting out to full ball. Just the opposite. He was expecting a full ball swinging in and Boult bowled a short one, he couldn't keep it down. It was almost like he was disappointed that Boult didn't bowl the expected delivery lol Rather than playing the ball he expects a ball and his mind get sucked into it. This is why you need players who react not plays with an insecure mind.

Moron Shastri had almost two years to develope an opening pair backups and he did not. This team mostly fails if openers are shot out cheaply.

These are practice matches ...

...  and we should look to give practice to players who are most likely to play in the WC in their expected batting positions.

It is as simple as that.

1. Rohit

2. Dhawan

3. Kohli

4. Rahul

5. Pandya

6. Jadhav / Shankar

7. Dhoni

8. Kuldeep

9. Bhuvi

10. Shami

11. Bumrah
