Sick of Kohli's PR when it comes to Pakistan

Recommended Posts

Error of judgement he should have waited. He felt if umpire did not give and it turns out he was out it will be bad for his image and walked, his primary focus should be winning games for India like it was for great indian batsmen before him. I think he will learn from today. Or he is using this just an other match i will play casually to mask the pressure he is feeling inside. Either ways he is either stupid or fake or both.

This is nuts. Kohli lead his side to a very one sided win. So maybe he talks nicely to Amir and Wahab. Amir and Wahab act tough. Prefer to be in the position of the “nice” guy who is a winner to the little “tough” guys who got crushed and were never in the game.

Will forever remain fan of Rohit for his comment on Amir that he is just an ordinary bowler.Thats how Pakistanis should be treated.

he followed it up with bossing today, and you could see the sheepish admiration and friendly gestures from the Pakistani medium pacers in return. Kohli could easily do the same but chooses to handle them with kid gloves.

Yeah, but you don’t get it. You and me are not playing, its Kohli who is playing and it gets his adrenaine going and he scores runs in the way he shows his attitude on the field. If he starts listening to everyone and change his game then he will never perf well for India. He talks to Rabada with anger and performs. Some won’t like doesn’t mean he should change it.

He talks with Pakistani on field with a smile and still is able to concentrate and ends up scorkng runs today, some don’t like that. Doesn’t mean he should change that too.

Ever fan will not like his certain attitude. Fact is he is laying for country with passion, and wants to win for the team. Thats the bottom line. Rest all is small compared to that.

he cant walk when not out. there was light between bat and pad, standing the ground when the umpire himself is not raising the finger. if he had doubt he could have enquired with the keeper chiding him to appeal or told the umpire he felt something on the bat and encouraged him to go upstairs. Simple check and then walk out.

Is he Amir's partner or something? Clearly fixer is the dominant partner in this relationship.

Yeah, Aamir was muttering sweet nothings all the time in his ear and Kohli was giggling like a giddy  girl. Pathetic from Kohli. Yesteryear players like Bhajji, Yuvi etc also were friendly to Pak players but on the field they didn't behave like Kohli.

Kohli's behavior yesterday was total cringe. He was smiling at those who sledged him (amir) and who didnt react to him (Wahab). Wahab when he fell down was greeted with a clownish smile and Wahab reacted with a smile as if to say "Whats wrong with him".

He also laughed and pointed at Vijay Shankar's face when he took the first wicket. I took it as saying how did you do it. That must instill confidence in VS's first world cup game :phehe:. Another was in the last match when Dhoni hit a six right in the slot and VK acting surprised and started giggling. Like Dhoni has never hit a ball right in his arc

Also him dedicating his Nottingham test win to Anushka  What about his parents who believed in his desires and backed him to the core and the sacrifices they made. Her acting skills seemed to rub on him and have turned him into a joker.

He is still a talented batsman but needs to cut down on the fake laughter and get serious. He is not a youth no more and is a captain of one of the best teams in this WC. Rohit and Dhoni looked composed and normal. They looked more like a captain. If I was a selector, I would promote Rohit to ODI captaincy and ask Kohli to stop giggling around and focus on his batting. Rohit doesnt muck around and he is also an attacking captain

Also I would suggest him to wear full length trousers covering his socks for the opening ceremony with the queen. So much for making fashion statements with Anushka

@Cricketics Like someone else mentioned,  Yuvi and Bhajji used to be equally friendly with Pakistani players but on the field they couldn't give two hoots about this all nonsensical bhaichara.

Remember Asia cup 2010 when Akhtar tried to sledge Bhajji and the sardar replied with a six in Aamir's over to win the game for India.

The ma-behan gestured towards Akhtar that followed the winning runs was there for everyone to see. That's how you play the game. With full intensity and a desire to win at any cost. Not like Kohli where it's crystal clear for anyone to see that he's promoting his brand. It's cringy and disrespectful.

Kohli and Anushka would have slapped high fives with his PR team as they announced "Congrats Virat! Your buffonery has boosted Goodwill for you across the border and your brand value has gone up by xyz amount"
