vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 KL Rahul Rohit Kohli how good are the compared to the following in terms of playing eye candy shots (ignore averages, who they faced all those crap. Just the batting style) Tendulkar Ganguly Dravid Nonbeliever and maniac 2
zen Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Tendulkar was good all around the wkt and good to watch. While Kohli plays like how Spain played football in 2010 where you feel he is in control Other good players to watch are Sehwag and Pandya when in flow. It is like watching a young Mbappe of France in 2018 diehardpacer 1
bowl_out Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Just for the stylish batting, Tendu, Gangu, Dravid > Rahul, Rohit, Kohli
R!TTER Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 At their peak, SRT+Dada+Dravid had no equal in other non World XI they were that good. prasen82 and profster 2
Cricketics Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 They are slightly below the more exciting - Mark Waugh/Adam Gilchrist/Ponting - The most stylish top 3. Laaloo and velu 1 1

vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 I mean the shots that these three play are breath taking. So easy on the eye. Best shot was by Rahul when he opened up off side and creamed Hafeez over long off for a six. bahubali 1
randomGuy Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 (edited) In ODIs Kohli>>> Sachin Rohit >>> Ganguly KL >>>> Dravid The above was on performance On elegance, Sachin was extremely elegant. Most elegant among the 6 guys mentioned. Edited June 17, 2019 by randomGuy

On elegance KL is up there....but there's simply no comparison with Sachin...on elegance, Sachin is the finest ever.

Overall, no one is more complete batsman then Tendulkar ever. and Rahul even though elegant, can go in his shell. We need to see more of him for a long time dominating the opposition to say he makes up the most stylish. Indeed, Kohli and Rohit can be termed as stylish. There really isn't any competition honestly since one player out of the three might make the combination look ordinary or okay. But Tendulkar and Dravid together were treat to watch. Dravid made tons of runs in ODI's and he was as elegant as one could get. He would use his pull shots regularly against top bowlers, something most players hated doing in the 90s. He had a top game on the leg as well as off, so that combination with class of Tendulkar was fun too watch. Ganguly was elegant on certain shots but not as a whole. It was that Tendulkar/Dravid which was more pleasing to the eyes.

During NZ series they dedicated an article in a famous new zealand magazine how Dravid looks more elegant than Sachin. Yes Sachin can be super text book at times without that flair like Lara, Yuvraj with that back lift, follow through. But Dravid had a way. I agree Ganguly on the onside looked ungainly also against short balls. KL Rahul, Rohit, Kohli rarely look ugly playing any shot when they connect. Pull hook, drive, cut, dab. inside out.
vvvslaxman Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Honestly Murali Vijay is the only one guy who looked great to watch even when he slogged the ball.

Hope KL does better in his career for India's sake but right now he is nothing before the original Rahul. Edited June 17, 2019 by Gollum Bigg Brother 1
I6MTW Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Kohli, Rohit, Rahul are definitely the most elegant in the world right now. Our top4 of Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli, Rahul(if he settled at no 4) has the potential to be the best in the world for a next few years. bahubali 1

He would probably find a place in my all-time India ODI XI for his versatility after 1999. prasen82 1
jusarrived Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Dravid and Tendulkar where attractive to watch , Ganguly though was an eyesore .
