They said this was first century by a Pakistani middle order batsman in world cup. Any team scoring in 250 range, Babar will chase it. Quality player. But that 250 chase is his top limit in limited overs
Pandya_Power Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Feel like he is missing the top gear that modern ODI format demands. Might have had an ATG great career if he had played a decade earlier. And his Test performances have been underwhelming so far. I strongly suspect that his footwork would prevent him from averaging 50+ in tests. But without doubt is the top batsman in the padosi line-up. Not a hack like Shehzad and Akmal.

Imam and Forker may have "great" records thanks to Zim, but I rate Babar and Sohail as the foundation stones for future Pak batting. However, knowing their TM, it's quite possible that these players will not be managed properly.

Only one match winning hundred against a top team. He was overrated only on PeePee until now, now we have started as well. PS: Rohit scored a 100 in a similar low scoring game chasing but on a more challenging pitch, but we didnt really gloat about it making it the best thing since Sunny Leone doing herself. it was a normal routine service for India.
