vvvslaxman Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 This guy should be kicked out. At this age he is not really going to win us anything with his limited talented. Hardly used for bowling as well. Can't field well. What is the point of having him. Atleast have someone like KKD against teams like England who will get batting surfaces. GoldenSun, sandsaims, Gollum and 2 others 1 4
GautiMaan Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 We need a hitter at 6,maybe Jadhav was decent for that role a few years back as his ODI/List A record is stellar, now he is not even good enough to win an IPL match. We did not pick him in his prime for the 2015 world cup so that was a bus missed and as always selectors bought him into the fold when his decline started. For the world cup he has to play at #4 or sit out.
Suhaan Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Jadhav,vs both are duds In a batting shootout like this we should load this side with hitters Imagine pant, pandya,dk in a lineup, this could have been achieved had they applied themselves with more intent but with Jadhav ,dhoni at helm you will mostly endup witnessing something like this express bowling and MK55 1 1
Jimmy Cliff Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Yes. Drop a 34 yr old who averages 40+ at SR of 100+ for another 34 yr old who averages 31 at a SR of 73. Sounds like a plan. Mosher, Pollack, Vilander and 5 others 7 1

I would open with Shankar and maybe play one of DK/Rahul in the middle order. Pant is more suited to 5-6-7
helperononline Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 (edited) Play Karthik instead of jadhav at no 4 play pant at five , dhoni at 6 and hardik at 7. This will hide dhoni poor batting since he will be batting with pant ,hardik he can take singles and give them strike Edited June 30, 2019 by helperononline

JourneyMan Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Let's be honest guys India simply doesn't have big hitters anymore. The days of having Sehwag, Yuvraj, Raina and prime Dhoni in the same team have gone. The only guy who can score quickly now is Hardik. India's game plan under Dhoni used to be to post a high total and hope their weak bowling would survive the run chase. Now under Kohli it's more like trying to score just enough so that the bowlers have something to work with. On a decent pitch, this seems to work. Ironically, on flat tracks India are in deep trouble against any side that has a couple of decen batsmen. Stan AF 1

wanted_desi Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 We didn't develop single batsman since 2015WC, it was bound to happen. Adi BB and Stan AF 2
Adi BB Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Actually beggars cant be choosers, with the squad we have ,the choices are Shankar or kdk lol ,what a fecked up scenario. Best way is to either bat him at #4 or bat pant @4 and then jhadav @5 . He takes time to bill in so he has to bat up ,he cant straight away go for the shots ,dhoni shouldn't even get to bat lol
Tendulkar1996 Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 As i said when dhawan went ,our cup was over.
Vijy Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 bat him at 4, or don't select him. he is not a slogger who can score fast from ball 1.

Possibly the worst fielder I have seen. How can anyone be so bad and not do anything about it? What is our specialist fielding coach doing other than being a very good human being and clicking pics with players? vvvslaxman 1

And Dhoni sticking around long past his expiry date is the main reason. Kohli being the captain should have put his foot down and kicked him out like Dhoni did to Dravid/Ganguly. Instead the moron defends him every single time. The entire middle order mess is because of having to accommodate this useless grandpa Dhoni. Edited July 1, 2019 by Stan AF
Gollum Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I want DK to start against his favorite team tomorrow. Jadhav at #7 is useless, TM doesn't trust him to play long innings and always he is held back, since he hasn't bowled and can't field what purpose is he serving? We will get fresh pitches in KOs meaning we need more firepower. DK's ODI stats may be ordinary but we don't want him to build long innings here, his role is that of a finisher and should play only after over 40. Not much different from T20s when you look at it that way. This should be our batting order henceforth: KLR/Shankar (if Rahul doesn't get his **** together even I can't support him any longer) Rohit Kohli Pant Pandya DK random bowler Budhau G@ndu
