So it's been around a week since Govt announced the scrapping of provisions of article 370.

There hasn't been a single case of death of alleged protesters from Police/Army's bullet. 

Life seems to be back on track for majority of the people who are now busy in preparations for the upcoming Eid festival. 

 

And yet if you go to the sites of major newspaper publications around the world, you would think something catastrophic happened in the Himalayan state. 

Western Islam loving liberal media seems to be having a field day and are apparently equating the situation to Palestine where scores of protesters are routinely killed by Israeli forces. 

 

Of course it doesn't help the things that Indian libtards are providing them full masala to get away with spreading the fake news with some calling it the darkest day in the history of Indian democracy. 

 

I find it all quite amusing and entertaining to a certain extent. Thanks to the social media these days lies of these propagandists can be easily debunked and one can imagine how earlier they used to get away with peddling  such nonsense.

Most of the noise and hoopla is coming from Napakis who are trying to create a hysteria around the Kashmir issue, these self proclaimed thekedaar's of Islam were hiding in their bunkers when the Uighurs from China were going through actual shite unlike the figment of their imagination in Kashmir. Some say that they share history with Kashmir, but they share Ghanta with Kashmir. Most Pakistanis have migrated to Pakistan from different parts of India and share no ethnicity or race with kashmir other than religion. On the contrary they were the first ones to attack Kashmir with the help of tribals which forced Hari Singh to sign the instrument of accession with India. Ever since then all they have done is strategically brainwashed kashmiri youth and pushed them on the path of Jihad to fight their war. Now with Modi at helm all they can do is shout, cry and scream in anguish, but no one in the bloody world gives a damn about them, they have been truly isolated in the international forum and the world has called their bluff. They are nothing short of chinas paltu kutta at the moment, china will throw an occasional bone at them but will always leash them when the guests arrive.

@Stradlater expected from foreign publications because they can't stomach a rising India, they ran similar hitjobs against China in 90s, 00s and still do. It is how we respond as a nation that counts, when our own countrymen fan the flames of anarchy and give ammunition to rest of the world, that is what should concern us. If we are united as a nation no external force can harm us. Do you think China allows internal traitors the way we do? A big reason why they are so much stronger than us. NRC walleh detention camps ko choro, first round up the snakes in our backyard and put them in labour camps....we will pay a huge price if GOI allows these rats any more liberty. Other stuff will get sorted out if we take this crucial first step in identifying and punishing the enemy within.

Check out the development of the infrastructure. Big wide roads, tons of cars in Kashmir.  Kashmir is already well developed compared to half the places in India.  And even in HDI scale i.e life expectancy, etc it is way high in the ladder.

 

As for the protests, it is to be expected be it now or later, small or big.

I have a subscription for The Hindu and man the narrative they have been peddling since last few days is astounding to say the least. 

The newspaper has decided to devote a separate section to cover the alleged plight of the Kashmiris where they publish interviews taken of Urban Naxals and their protege from the valley who are currently studying in DU/JNU.

 

They are regularly covering a small insignificant protest by Commie students which has been ignored even by the local Delhi media since such demonstrations are are a common occurrence here if one has lived long in the city but if you go by The Hindu's account you would think the whole Delhi must have come at a standstill with Youths surging ahead to call Govt out on its undemocratic activities and subversion of Constitution. 

 

Same is the case with The Indian Express. 

Not a single neutral article on the issue so far and instead we are to suffer through the constant gibberish which seems to be nowhere near the truth. 

 

It's appalling to see how low these 'reputable' publications can stoop to in the name of freedom of speech so long as the nefarious agenda of their western masters gets to pushed to the gullible public and the fence sitters who are still in two minds about this. 

 

Now I don't want any law which might lead to curbs on independence of press since that might be used by the Govt in future to crush the dissenting voices but there has to have a mechanism in place which can check on the rising tide of fake news which atm seems unstoppable.

@Gollum The video of Dr Jitendra Singh(who btw is from Jammu himself) slamming the hate mongers for spreading misinformation and the role of Congress party and particularly the Gandhi family in encouraging them reinforces my earlier opinion of them being deshdrohis to the core. 

They don't care one bit about the international image of the country and could go to any lengths to secure power for their minions even if it means deliberately keeping people in dark and compromise on national security.

Wouldn't worry too much about international media, I think as world has got smaller, people are more concerned about local issues affecting them rather something 1000 miles away.

 

And anyhow, after 1 week, already Kashmir is footnote on the Global affairs page, the HK protests, Syria conflict, Trump-China trade, upcoming US election, Brexit and evergreen Isreal-Palestine conflict continue to dominate international news section.

The average global citizen sees Pakistan as the country who was hosting Osama Bin Laden, any global credibility and sympathy is gone right there.

 

And another thing, India may not be big global trade player, but alot of global banks, engineering companies and IT companies have operations and back offices in India. If India was evil, then these countries, many western.nations, would have imposed.sanctions and boycotts by now. But again no one gives two * about Pak and only get lip service.

Only Srinagar is developed being the capital. With the kind of budget Kashmir gets from central government, you would expect that. Kashmir's problem isn't just development but terrorism and separatists.

Shobhaa De wrote article advocating ‘plebiscite in Kashmir’ under influence of Pakistani establishment, reveals Abdul Basit
