Yeah, surprised to see Manju at the top of the list! He could have had a better career than he ended up with if he hadn't obsessed with technique so much and focused on getting some runs instead.

I have a feeling he uses it as an excuse

When a 300 against England in a test match means absolutely nothing for selectors then Ranji 300s are meaningless. Runfest matches on dead pitches.

300s whether in tests or Ranji are scored on dead pitches only.

Still takes a lot of stamina, skill and mental toughness to keep batting for so long to score those many runs.

 

Sarfaraz Khan now has a great chance to get his career back on track. Needs a monster FC season to be in the A team. Hopefully this is a turnaround innings for him. He is still only 22 and has time on his hand.

Very much possible. Lagta hai uske pyar mein pagal ho gaya aur career gayi baadh mein. Manju's peak was the Pak tour where he scored a double hundred and another hundred helping the team to a respectable series draw in the test series. After that, it was mostly downhill.

Never felt that Sarfaraz had that skill for next level.. always wondered about the buzz around him...don't think this 300 means much in the long run.. hope to be proved wrong

He has to lose lots of weight, not just runs, to  be considered for higher level.

Kohli just scored a triple ton this season and in total has two triple tons. 

 

The other Kohli that is, Taruwar Kohli, former India u19 who was part of the winning team with Virat as the captain.  Actually, had a decent u19 WC.  Taruwar was previously part of the Punjab team where he scored his first triple ton but was in and out of the team.  With the introduction of the new teams in the domestic, he moved over to Mizoram, where this season scored his second triple ton.

So this is the third triple ton of the season?  

First Taruwar Kohli, then Manoj Tiwary, and now Sarfaraz Khan.  

 

IIRC, Sarfaraz moved to UP after getting in trouble with the Mumbai management but quickly found out that in UP, he got lost in the wilderness in the UP setup.  Surprisingly, made a comeback in the Mumbai team, which isn't that easy.
