Adamant Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Looks like indian fans have already given up.Man up dude We are surely in with a good chance just need to hop to 150,150+ is definitely a good score. People here really do not realise how difficult batting in 4th innings can be. 160+ and they will fold . Rightarmfast, SRT100 and Soorma_Bhopali 1 2

Indian tail is notorious for folding like a pack of cards in foreign conditions. Especially given Kiwis are giving Indian batsmen chin music, they will play a few shots and will get bowled out before scoring 20 runs. Kiwis will win with 8 wickets in hand.

It's case with all teams. Tailenders score in home conditions.
vishalvirsingh Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 If india scores 200..we will win. Even 190...v have a chance to win. Between 160 to 190..its even Steven's.. there will be tough fight and anyone can win with small margin. Less than 160..v vill loose. If v loose..some batsmen need to be blamed. Shammi bumrah will fight. If umesh trundles he should be thrown out.

Gollum Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 NZ curators have done their country proud, ofc if Indian curators roll out pitches where result is decided in 3 days we know what ICC will do, don't we? SrinjayDutta and SRT100 1 1

This is what pisses me off the most about world cricket. They complain about India's low dusty pitches, yet celebrate and rejoice on tracks that are full of bounce, swing and seam. I hope Indian curators prepare slow low turners from ball 1 of the 1st test. I also hope India field 4 spin bowlers. I swear I remember one series Ganguly as captain was calling the shots on the pitch and the curator helped him out. India fielded 4 spin bowlers and Ganguly with his slow medium pacers opened the bowling and took 2 wickets? Am I making this crap up or did it not happen???? v Australia??? Year ago???

SRT100 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I wonder if this game will be over before the end of Day 3??? I cant see India surviving till lunch. Its too much for our batsmen to face 130kmhr bowlers in SENA. I would give anything to see Pant couterattack and score a fast match winning 100. It would be legendary. While it may save Kohli's arse, it will also question his non selection throughout the NZ tour making Kohli look foolish.

If pant scores a hundred, they will just take credit for picking him over Saha .
NameGoesHere Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Unless our bowlers tear NZ a new one in the second go, this game is done as far as our batting is concerned. I hope I'm dead wrong, but don't expect a Pant 20, far less a 100. I expect us to fold at around 130-140. Then it's on the bowling. nitinbwj 1

Kothili Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Both Chepu and Rahane need to be dropped along with Psycho. His onfield antics would put street urchins to shame. Worst moment was his reaction to Kane Williamson's dismissal. What an ugly mofo he is!

That straight drive off Chris Cairns. yet a few dumb asses had the audacity to place Kohli above this legendary batsman . In a phase he scored 13607 runs(still larger than the 2nd best) & averaged 59.41( home 57.33 & abroad 61.48) with more runs abroad (7071) & with the lowest average 44.66 in Pakistan. He did all these amid intense pressure of expectations and facing far better set of quality bowlers Add to that his equally brilliant ODI record !!!!!!!... Let alone Kohli, no current batsman can come any where close to him . A Neil Wagner could reduce Smith to half the batsman he has been, imagine him against ATGs of the 90s. . Stutter Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 As for today: I hope the players come in with the same sort of the drive the bowlers walked in at the start of yesterday's proceedings. Vihari needs to take inspiration from his first innings efforts and look back at what grit/determination did back by Gambhir during Napier 2009! As for Pant & Jaddu, they have to score the boundaries and open up the field. Getting NZ to put fielders on the boundary will be the best way to prolong the test match and increase the lead. They certainly have the potential to add another 100+ runs. But that potential/fight hasn't been on show thus far except by the bowlers earlier today. I just hope it is not a surrender like last Monday!
