I am not lumping. Its my opinion that they are minimu players who desrve to be in the side. You seem to have some idea that Sundar should be dropped for Jadeja when I am not in favour of playing more than one spinner unless absolutely condition demands so.

For me, place of spinner is between Jadeja Ash Kuldeep and Axar. If you know English wickets, you must be knowing that spinner may be completely neutralised and its worth playing a bat in place of spinner while making use of decent allrounder like Sundar to give breather to pacers.

 

So please come with logic of your own and dont just find excuses in advance for lame captain Kohlis selection

Bhajji is 100% right.i made a similar on when i said Sundar needs to improve his bowling in the Ranjis and half the ICF was up in arms about it.

I don't need anyone's logic. You logic is ridiculous, you are basing Sundar selection as a lead spinner over Ashwin and Jadeja based on his so called batting skill. You never select any bowler based on his batting skill.Both Ashwin and Jadeja should play especially on Southhampton wicket. Jadeja will be allrounder and Ashwin will bowler who could bat plus three fast bowlers. This team will give depth in batting along with bowling.

Did you read my comment? Where did I say Sundar is competing with team India's lead spinner? There is nothing called Southampton wicket, Lords wicket, Edgbaston wickets. In June, all wickets are same (mercy of curators). May be mid July, wickets start changing as some areas in England get more sun then then rest.

When Jadeja is present as allrounder where is the need for Sundar?Ali has tormented India on this wicket and won two matches.

He was selected due to injuries like Thakur and once players are back from injuries, he needs to go back to domestic cricket and try to become a top order batsman. We don't need to fill test team with bits and pieces players like Pandya and Sundar.

 

 

Another manjrekar fan I assume ? Bits and pieces lol ? He did bowl well in Brisbane as well. May be spin not just spinning the ball. If you put the ball in the right spot you can still get wickets.

Don't want to predict his future. So far he has stepped up which is a good quality.  If his bowling improves he will be a great asset for the future. Time is on his side to improve his skills.

I don't disagree with bhajji. it's true that sundar's bowling is far from the finished article in long formats. but that's largely because he has rarely bowled extended spells in domestics. on a spinning track, he did turn the ball to a reasonable degree, used flight and variations, to get a 10-wkt haul.

 

I think bhajji has missed the point though, which is that sundar is a batsman who can/will bowl to some extent. whereas wakhare is a full-time spinner and saxena is also more of a bowling all-rounder in the past few yrs.

Bhajji needs to STFU..Sundar is overall a better cricketer and adds more value and balance to the team than some of the prospects he mentioned.

 

I don't see Akshar spinning the ball much either.

Yes because he has always been a batsman, in fact, played most of his lower level cricket as an opener. He needs to keep working on his batting and become indispensable in test cricket at least, should easily be able to bat at 5/6.

Sundar isn't like Shastri, Binny and others. Shastri was a bowler who got promoted as s batsman. Sundar is batsman who made his name through IPL as a bowler and that IPL success only harmed his cricket as he got labelled as a bowler while before IPL he had played all his cricket as a batsman whether India u19 or TN u19.

It's good to see you change your tone on Pant. Everything you are saying about Sundar now, you said for Pant in the Adelaide Test when your master selected Saha over him.

what mistakes? Lord Kohli never makes any mistakes... you should bow down immediately and apologize for claiming that Lord Kohli is fallible
